Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! It’s been a while since I posted a café that you must visit in Cebu. In this post, I’ll be sharing to you my experience at District V Cafe. This newly found café located in Compostela offers a cozy setting with both indoor and outdoor areas. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s jump right in!
HOW TO GO THERE?
District V is located in Guimbal Compostela, Cebu, Philippines. Currently, this café is quite popular and it is located next to Virginia Food Inc. If you want to visit and enjoy a meal there, you can take a jeep and drop off at the Guimbal and ride a motorcycle, inform the driver to drop you off at District V. The café is easily visible since it is right along the road. It operates from 8 AM to 7 PM (Philippine time).
WHAT TO EXPECT?
District V is a modern and inviting café that serves a variety of food and drinks. This café has recently become a popular spot in Compostela, distinguished by its leading supplier, Virginia Food Inc. Upon entering District V, you'll immediately notice the blend of contemporary style and warmth. The café's architectural design caters specifically to Gen Z and millennials. As you walk in, the aroma of freshly roasted beans fills the air, accompanied by soft music emanating from the speakers. The warm yellow lighting complements the café's modern aesthetic. Upon your arrival, you'll be welcomed by a cake display cabinet showcasing an array of different flavors of delicious cakes.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
District V Café offers a wide range of options in both food and drink categories. This café is not halal friendly, as a important portion of their menu features pork dishes. If you are a pork lover, this café is perfect for you. Meal prices begin at 99 pesos, depending on your choice. However, the District V steak is priced at 149 pesos. My friends and I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Skillet, Saucy Hungarian Skillet, Meaty Overload Skillet, and Meaty Pasta. With the 99 pesos skillet meals (in Philippine currency), you can satisfy your hunger with their hearty offerings. These dishes can fill you up even without the addition of rice.
They offered both hot and cold drinks, including coffee and non-coffee options. Below is the list of prices for the beverages:
Hot coffee — 80 - 90 pesos
Espresso — 49 pesos
Iced coffee — 100 - 199 pesos
Frappe — 150 pesos
Blended/Non - coffee — *150 pesos *
Smoothie — 150 pesos
Tea — 70 pesos
We ordered cold drinks, including Matcha, Cookies and Cream, Cappuccino, and Caramel Macchiato. They also offer a variety of desserts and snacks. Below is the price list for their desserts and snacks.
Pastries :
Choco Moist — 125 pesos
Carrot Cake — 125 pesos
Butter Criossant — 50 pesos
Chocolate Croisant — 50 pesos
Snacks :
Monster Burger — 99 pesos
Monster Burger with fries — 130 pesos
Bacon Waffle — 75 pesos
Chocolate chip waffle — 60 pesos
Vinta Chip waffle — 60 pesos
K - sandwich — 75 pesos
They have recently expanded their menu to include new items which is their unlimited wine offer. The unlimited wine at District V pairs perfectly with their steak meal. For just 99 pesos, you can enjoy unlimited wine. This wine creates the experience of dining in a fine restaurant.
CAFE DESIGN (LAYOUT)
District V café offers a contemporary atmosphere that mostly Millennials and Gen Z preferred. This café is an ideal spot to unwind and reward yourself after a tough day. The walls feature coffee-themed artwork, and there’s a small shelf with books found near the upper part of the wall next to the tables inside the café. The design of the lighting perfectly complements the layout of the café. They provide outdoor seating, tables beside the glass wall, cozy couches with tables, and tables facing the wall. At the counter, you can observe their beverage preparation, and there’s a kitchen area where food is made. What I enjoy most is that they present their food not on conventional plates but rather in iron skillets placed on wooden chargers, which perfectly aligns with the theme of the café.
EXPERIENCES
My experience dining at District V was enjoyable, and I felt like I was in a fine dining restaurant. We took group photos and selfies inside the café, which turned out fantastic due to the café's lighting that enhanced our pictures. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating, which I appreciate the most. Regarding the café's hygiene standards, I can confidently say it is quite clean. I also observed that many customers enjoy dining here because the café has Wi-Fi, which attracts customers who are WFH. Some customers come to celebrate their birthdays, while others, particularly students, likes to go to District V because of its modern design, which they prefer nowadays.
This café is an excellent place to grab a meal and enjoy quality time with your friends and family. Additionally, it's an ideal environment for students who wish to focus on their studies and have some solitude. One of the café's advantages is that its products are sourced from Virginia Food Inc., a corporation known for providing top-quality products. Next to the café, there's a mini mart where you can shop for groceries. All the items there are also supplied by Virginia Food Inc.
Our experience dining here was excellent and fulfilling. Everything from the food to the café's design and the quality of their products impressed me. I can confidently say it is truly worthwhile. Even though their prices are somewhat expensive, the value is undeniable. I look forward to visiting this café again soon!

Their food is affordable @chrmshly I wish I lived near that cafe. The lights on their wall, I find it unique, a water pipe design. 😊
Actually, they also have other unique design that some cafés dont have, such as their puzzle mirror but located at the top of the wall haha
