Awesome stuff man, I love it! Using wild plants is one thing that I know is incredible and very powerful as well as cost effective to do! At one point we will be doing this ourselves for sure.
I’ve seen a few groups of people locally going around foraging for things on the side of the road and stuff. I found it awesome! I know people snub their nose at it but you know what? Fuck em lol. They are the ones into spending hundreds of dollars for “premium sugar snap peas from France” (no joke, saw this on the food network channel, this one particular variety of pea pods cost hundreds of dollars a pound because some rich assholes said it tasted better? The hell? Just lipstick on a pig in my opinion lol) they can have at it for no additional benefit other than pissing away money. I’ll take some delicious wild edibles! When I was hiking a mountain years ago I got greeted with an awesome bunch of wild blueberry bushes while hanging out at the top! I sat there and snacked for a while it was such an awesome treat!
The dish looks delicious for sure dude, awesome work! I would totally eat that lol
Thanks! It is indeed, and it also just "feels" better to know that you are able to source the stuff. There is a certain "primal" or "carnal" power to it. But as you mentioned people will snub their noses.
And yes right! People here do the same. And then the worst is when they pretentiously boast about it. Not to be nasty about it but it works my nerves that people discredit locally produced food just to claim they can buy something imported.
Thanks! It is so easy to make and delish. And again, there is something carnal in knowing that you grew the food you are eating (even though not every element is locally sourced 🤣).
