There are so many ways how to cook eggs without using oil like boiling them. But boiling eggs all the time is not good enough for the indigenous people. They need something spicy and have spices together but they have no oil to use. They also have native eggs inside their cages.
My working student Giovanie, taught me how to cook eggs over the firewoods.
These were the native eggs from the native chicken/hen we had.
We decided to cook it in banana leaves.
He formed the leaves like a bowl before he put the cracked eggs on them.
He broke them and put them into the banana leaves. The firewoods were already burning. Wait until it produced fire in charcoal without flame.
It took 5 to 10 minutes and it's done.
It formed like a star. It was not scrambled, so the white and yellow were not mixed. After cooking, you can see the white and the egg yellow.
Before he put it in the banana leaves, he mixed it with salt and black pepper to taste better.
That was our healthiest breakfast yesterday. There was no oil at all. Only a little amount of salt and black pepper and the aroma of the banana leaves gave us the best taste of all.
These are the simple and easy steps how to cook eggs without oil. He said their parent used this recipe when they were sick and lost appetite. It must be a native eggs.
