Hello, Hive foodies! It's me again, your cup-bearer. After harvesting some cucumbers in our school garden, I have decided to create a new recipe using our harvested cucumber, the cucumber salad. I have read lots of recipes using a cucumber. Some added tomatoes and onions, but in my case, I used the following ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cucumber
1 apple
2 pcs bananas
Black pepper
80 ml Mayonnaise
First step:
I washed the cucumber, which was fresh from the school garden. I did not peel it since we did not use chemicals as pest control. And also, the cucumber skin is a great source of fiber and helps fight constipation based on the nutritional facts. I even taught my learners in school that peeling the vegetables may lose their nutrient value.
Same with the cucumber; I washed carefully the apple.
Second step:
I cut the cucumber and the apple into small cubes.
Third step:
I cut the 2 bananas into small cubes too.
Fourth step:
I mixed the cucumber, apple, and banana cuts into a bowl.
Fifth step:
I added pepper to taste.
Sixth step:
I added the mayonnaise and mixed it well.
Seventh step:
Ready to serve. You can also choose to chill it in the fridge.
Aside from the abovementioned benefits of cucumber, it is also a source of vitamin K, which may help prevent blood clots. As I added the apple, it may give us the 14 percent daily needed vitamin C. The lakatan banana I used is also a good source of nutrients that provides relief of stomach ulcers and constipation.
When my kids tasted it, they liked it, and they even want more. I have made it too for my co-teachers at school, and they appreciated it too. It is really satisfying when they like my newly discovered recipe. Some of my learners became curious on how to prepare it. So I shared it with them, and they will surely make it at home for their families.
Thank you for reading this blog. Till next time.

Your version of the cucumber salad sounds refreshing. I would never have tried adding banana but I bet it was tasty.
