Today I would like to share with you my “Super Simple Cinnamon Snaps”, and the Recipe!
And also THEY ARE VEGAN!
How sweet… 😍
This “Easy to Make” and “Easy to Bake” biscuit recipe is “fool proof!”
We already had a few!
“You can't go wrong with a good ol' biscuit... especially when it has cinnamon in it”
(( oh... that sounds funny! Haha " cinnamon in it"; "cinnamoninimminit"🤨))
That's hard to say a few times over!

- Here is my little helper today! My son Ivan, He will be 1 year old on Monday - 22/5/23 🙏 my little wee man! 😍
We are preparing some food for his birthday party tomorrow in the park (Fingers crossed for good weather!)
He has a carrot and banana baby cake with No Sugar in it. 👍🏼 Which is still to be dressed and decorated and is not for show at the moment - I will post the finished creation (made by my partner) in the comments section on sunday evening if you want to see his baby cake.
I have divided this recipe into 4 simple sections for you to follow step by step.
Please follow the instructions carefully.
🙏 First of All…

👉🏼 What you will need to make 16 delicious large “Cinnamon Snap” biscuits:
Essential Equipment for this recipe:
- Scales (to Gram weight)
- 1 Medium (Metal) Heat/Crack Proof Mixing Dish/Bowl/Container,
- 1 Large (Metal) Heat/Crack Proof Dish/Bowl/Container,
- Greaseproof Paper,
- Baking Tray/s,
- Electric Oven,
- and The rest is up to you... 🫵🏼
the Ingredients you will need.👇🏼
- 200g Plain Flour.
- 100g Unsalted Dairy Free/Vegan Spread (that is suitable for baking).
- 80g of Soft Brown Sugar.
- 4 Teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon.
- 4 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup
- 2 Level Teaspoons of Bicarbonate of Soda
- 1 Teaspoon of Ginger
- 0.5g of Salt
~ Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes max.
~ Bake Time: 14-15 minutes (16-17 max)
~ Cooling Time: 20 minutes (overnight is best)
~ Ready to Eat: (if you can’t wait like me!) about 1 hour in total from “Prep starting time”
Step 1:
Preheat Electric Oven to 180 degrees - Middle shelf rack in place.
Get your Scales ready.
Tare the Bowl and Sieve on the scales (as shown).
- Then pour the Plain Flour (200g), Cinnamon (4 Teaspoons), Ginger (1 Teaspoon), and the Bicarbonate of Soda (2 Level Teaspoons) through the Sieve into the Mixing Bowl and mix well.
Step 2:
Weigh out the Vegan Unsalted Butter (100g) in your chosen Heat Proof Mixing Bowl
Weigh out the Soft Brown Sugar (80g) into the same bowl as the Butter.
- Add the Golden Syrup (4 Tablespoons) to the same bowl.
Fill and Boil a kettle with enough water to cover the bottom of your heatproof mixing bowl to make a “Bain Marie”.
Get the larger dish/bowl that can withstand the boiling water and…
- Pour the boiled water into the larger dish, then place the smaller bowl on top to make the Bain Marie which will melt the Butter-Sugar-Syrup mix.
- Mix it until it is nice and smooooth and gloopy! give it a good smell… you’ll be blown away! 🤪
Step 3
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients into one bowl and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Please watch these Satisfying Videos! You’ll be drooling, no doubt!
Make a big ball shape with the dough.
Leave it for a few minutes to rest and absorb in the bowl whilst you cut your greaseproof paper to fit your desired tray size and shape.
(I've gone with a round pizza tray today, it works just fine 👍🏼)
Cut the Dough in half. (Each ball will make 8 large biscuits).
Roll a ball with each half and then cut them into 8 equal parts.
Roll the balls up and place them quite far apart on the tray (Do Not overfill a tray) - I really squeezed it for space today though! Haha... all is indeed swell 😘👌🏼
Step 4
Bake on the middle shelf at 180•c in an Electric oven for 15 minutes.
Check them at around 12-13 minutes, and Do Not open the oven door at any time during the bake.
Once baked, leave them to cool on their tray for at least 20 minutes...
or if you're desperate! feel free to tuck in after 10 minutes for a warm, soft, and chewy-gooey delight perfect with an afternoon coffee or black tea. ☕️🫖
😘👌🏼 Delectable 🤪 yummy beyond belief!
This is a Vegan recipe, but it can be easily adapted (if you don't have aforementioned ingredients) with the following ingredients:
- Dairy Butter instead of Plant Butter.
- All Ginger Powder instead of Cinnamon and Ginger Powder, you can get creative with your own mixes, blends, or none at all.
- White Sugar instead of Brown Sugar.
I prefer brown sugar as it works better, it's much tastier, and it's probably not bleached like white sugar. - Treacle or Honey instead of Syrup.
