Beef Stew

Today, I want to share with you a delicious and comforting recipe: beef stew accompanied by a shredded salad. This dish is perfect for a nutritious and satisfying lunch. Plus, it's a great way to use fresh ingredients that are full of flavor. Let's get started!

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of beef stew
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/4 red bell pepper
  • 1/4 green bell pepper
  • Cilantro and green onions to taste
  • Salt, ground pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vegetables: Start by washing and peeling the potatoes and carrot. Then, cut them into medium-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly. It's important to make sure the pieces are of similar size so all the ingredients cook uniformly.
  2. Chop the Vegetables: Next, chop part of the vegetables, such as the onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and green onions, into small pieces. These ingredients will add incredible flavor to the stew.
  3. Add the Beef and Vegetables to the Pot: In a large pot, add the beef stew along with the chopped vegetables. Season with salt, ground pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Also, add a touch of soy sauce to enhance the flavor.
  4. Cook on Low Heat: Cook the mixture on low heat, allowing the flavors to meld and the beef to become tender along with the vegetables. This process can take about 45 minutes, but it's worth the wait to achieve a delicious and tender stew.
  5. Sauté the Remaining Vegetables: While the stew is cooking, in a separate pan with a bit of oil, sauté the remaining chopped vegetables (such as the green bell pepper and cilantro) with a pinch of salt. Once they are slightly golden, add them to the pot with the stew.
  6. Prepare the Grated Tomato: Peel the tomatoes and grate them. Then, bring the grated tomatoes to the hot pan with a bit of oil and cook for a few minutes. Afterward, add them to the pot with the beef stew, giving it a fresh and incredible flavor.

Shredded Salad

To accompany this beef stew, I prepared a fresh and crunchy shredded salad. Here's the recipe:

  • 3 carrots
  • 12 medium cabbage leaves
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/4 green onions
  • 1/4 parsley
  • Salt, garlic powder, and ground pepper to taste
  • Olive oil to taste
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the cabbage leaves and cut them into small pieces. Peel the carrots and grate them. Also, grate the onion.
  2. Chop Green Onions and Parsley: Chop the green onions and parsley into small pieces. These ingredients will add a fresh and delicious flavor to the salad.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix all the grated and chopped ingredients. Add salt, garlic powder, and ground pepper to taste.
  4. Dress with Olive Oil: Finally, add olive oil to taste and mix well until all the flavors are integrated.

This salad is the perfect accompaniment to the beef stew, providing freshness and a crunchy contrast to the main dish.
