Hello all friends who are especially culinary lovers. Good morning. This time I will make a snack from an unusual ingredient, namely rice. Rice is a staple food and the main source of carbohydrates in many countries. Usually rice is eaten with side dishes, but now I will turn it into a delicious snack that you must try, namely cireng.
The creation of this cireng culinary as one of the creations of the Sundanese people in ancient times using tapioca flour and starch. However, over time, the creation of cireng began to develop, various innovations of cireng ranging from various shapes and flavors. Not only that, the complementary seasonings for dipping cireng are also diverse, such as rujak seasoning or chili sauce and so on. And also the version of cireng filled with sausage, chicken, cheese to beef.
Okay, I will make cireng with a combination of tapioca flour and rice.
Of course by adding selected spices to create a distinctive and delicious taste. Here I use leftover rice from last night for the dough hehe. Usually we make leftover rice as fried rice, right! but this time we will make a savory snack.
Rice snacks are not only cireng, I was once given crackers by my brother with rice ingredients that taste like cireng, very delicious, crispy and savory. Maybe next time I will learn it from my brother and will try it. Do you know, this is not the first time I have made cireng, because the delicious taste makes me want to enjoy it again today. Let's see the ingredients and how to make it below.

Suggestion:
Add pepper powder to the dough when you make it / I really forgot to add this one ingredient, huhu
very suitable for dipping with sauce or cuko sauce
Preparation:
First: prepare the rice. Put it in a blender, add water to smooth / can also be ground. Set aside
Second: prepare the fine spices. Peel the garlic. Add salt, grind until smooth.
Third: wash the celery leaves. Chop finely. Set aside
Fourth: prepare a pan, add tapioca flour, chopped celery leaves, and other ingredients. Stir well. After everything is mixed evenly, add the blended rice. Use medium heat only. Stir until the water dries up and the dough becomes sticky. After that, turn off the stove. Add dry tapioca flour so that the dough can be shaped.
Fifth: shape the cireng according to taste, it can be round, flat or round. Fry the cireng in hot oil until dry or until cooked.
Sixth: serve while warm so that the crunchy texture is more pronounced. Dip it in your choice of chili sauce to make it even more delicious.
How to make my chili sauce / sauce:
- Prepare cayenne pepper, garlic and add salt and sugar. Grind coarsely. Pour over hot oil. Ready to serve..
The finished dish is ready to be eaten..
Very simple, isn't it! Both in terms of ingredients and how to make it. But the taste is undoubtedly very delicious, crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. Moreover, dipped in chili sauce / sauce makes this snack really delicious.
Various innovations of cireng have emerged that offer their own flavors and uniqueness. So you don't need to worry because the good news is that we can already find this simple snack in various regions. For those of you who visit Indonesia, try tasting this Cireng. Cireng can also be used as a souvenir because it can be bought raw, so we can fry it ourselves at home. That's all for today..
