Hello, friends especially foodies!
Today i would like to share what mom and i had for our dinner yesterday. Actually what we ordered was not a main dish, but an authentic South Sumatran dish. I ordered it online, it was 62,400 IDR or around 4.38 USD after i got a reduction.

The food was delivered around 30 minutes of waiting. Here how it looked like

Both of us ordered pempek, fried fishcake from Indonesia. Some Indonesian areas had this dish, but the taste of each was not the same. What i ordered came from South Sumatra.

The taste of each,

The round one named adaan. It had tasty savory flavour. Inside was soft and made from fish.

Next, it called keriting or curly in english. They made it wrong, how to make it tasty was really deep fried it after it cut into 2. It was a bit hard so mom didn't like it.

The last one called kapal selam or if it is translated, submarine. It had the most
delicious flavour with egg inside and all was made from fish. But i don"t know why it was the tastiest one.

What made Indonesian fried fishcake special was it's soup. Made from palm sugar and vinegar, it had sweet sour flavour and usually it had spicy flavour but i ordered not spicy one yesterday. So our food had savory, sweet and sour flavour. The pempek also served with some small cubes cucumber and savory dried ebi (small shrimp in powder).

We had a good time in having our pempek, do you also wanna try it?
