Hello, friends especially foodies!
Recently when i missed of fried rice and we were in Grand Indonesia but i wanted to attend the occasion in church so we were such in a hurry to go to the other shopping center, in the same location with the church. But what i found there were more than just fried rice because the restaurant had it all, then follow me for more.
When we finally arrived there (after the traffic because it was on Saturday), it was almost 6 pm. I only got an hour to dine in before the occasion started. Lucky for us the restaurant was not crowded that time so we could just enter. Well before i talk about it more, let's talk a bit about the restaurant from its' outside.
The restaurant's name is Rempah Bistro. Rempah means spices. You could see that it had a large and wide area with the yellow dimmed light color. They had a long chair for waiting list. And also the menu near their entrance.
Like you could see from the outside, inside the restaurant, it had a large dining area. They used rattan chairs and also sofas. In one of it's corner, there were some artificial plants and also written with the neon, spice up your life (referred to their name, spices bistro).
Inside still there even more chairs and tables, so this is the reason why we didn't have to wait in list to enter this restaurant.
This restaurant had so many dishes in their menu to choose. Some of them were:
- Assorted Kendil Rice
Kendil is a traditional made of clay pot used to put rice. They had some variation of it like Heritage Rendang Kendil Rice, Peda Matah Fish Kendil Rice, Duo Spices Kendil Rice and some more.
- Assorted Satays
They had Uluwatu Matah Chicken Satay, Pamekasan Chicken Satay and some more.
- Rice and Noodle
They had Blessed Rice, Langgi Rice, Tugu Liwet Rice, Baroma Lamb Fried Rice, Baroma Rendang Fried Rice,
And also Baroma Village Fried Rice, Baroma Shrimp Stinky Beans Fried Rice, Corner of the City Gudeg Rice, Bogana Rice, Village Fried Noodle, Stirred Crispy Chicken Noodle, and Malaysian Fried Noodle.
Plus the had many variation of menus which I couldn’t take picture of them all. Because their menu book was thick, and you must find the food you wanna try from their menu.
After waiting for 5 minutes, our drink delivered to our table. What a nice treat, that they didn't let us thristy while waiting for our food order. Not having dessert we just ordered iced tea and mineral water.
And after several time, our menu came one by one. Here was our table when the food were all in.
BLESSED RICE
It was a perfect combination of yellow turmeric rice and white rice that served with many kind of dishes like beef rendang (traditionally cooked with coconut milk beef - it was tasty in savory and had soft texture, crispy soybean cake, boiled egg, caramelized potato chip (crispy and sweet, tasty!), marinated soybean cake in palm sugar, urap (steamed mixed vegetables with spices grated coconut as dressing – it tasted so unexpectedly great. I even really enjoyed it much and would like some more! It tasted so fresh. The grated coconut had sweet savory flavour. Perfect!), crackers and chili with shrimp paste. Everything they put on this Blessed menu was perfect! You should try it.
BAROMA VILLAGE FRIED RICE
It was fried briyani that cooked with special traditional home style spices (authentic in flavour, it tasted savory), served with fried chicken (tasted savory and so good), chicken satay (soft, large and tasty in savory and sweet flavour), and sunny side up egg. They also gave chili paste, crackers and pickles to complete it. It was a tasty menu too but I prefer blessed rice than this.
PAMEKASAN CHICKEN SATAY
Their chicken satays tasted so good. They were large, soft and so tasty in savory and sweet. It served with tasty peanut paste that came along with lime, chili paste and also pickles. This menu tasted so great too!
Well, this place had super tasty Indonesian food that you should try and of course we would come again to try their other interesting menus!
