Hello, Friends especially Foodies!

Last Saturday when Mom and I went to one of the shopping center in Central Jakarta, before we went back home, we felt a bit hungry, even it wasn’t dinner time yet, yes it was just around 4 pm something.. But instead of having snack or another afternoon coffee (yes, we already had eaten lunch and also afternoon coffee but then we got hungry again, haha), we straightly went to 5th floor West Mall, where the food court was located.

Even not at lunch or dinner time, they still had customers in this food court, and like usually the dining area was clean and neat but unfortunately, the air conditioner was not as cool as usually. Mom then decided to take a seat with our shopping things,

Here was how the food stall where we ordered our ramen looked like

Luckily it was still empty because it wasn’t dine in time.

The menu they had was ramen, but you could choose the flavour of the ramen you ordered here.

I alone ordered our favorite ramen, which was the same with that we had at home when we still couldn’t dine in there, and while I’m sharing my experience, I would also tell you the difference of dine in here and take away at home.

FIRST DIFFERENCE: “ EGG”

When I ordered both of our special ramen in the food stall, when I mentioned our order, special ramen, the cashier asked whether I want the egg would be half boiled or fully boiled, which when I asked her, when we ordered it online from home for take away, wasn’t possible. So the different number one related to the egg topping on our ramen.

SECOND DIFFERENCE: “PRICE”

When we went to dine in there last Saturday, luckily it was still had promotion by using a platform of payment, which mean we could bought the 99 IDR voucher to get the 17K IDR cashback, so mom and I had our own account to order and pay, and I did one by one, the one I bought for mom was a Special Ramen with a free flow cup of green tea for 45K IDR (then I got 17K IDR cashback coin) while if only ordered the special ramen the price would be 40K IDR or after cashback it was 23K IDR or just around 1.62 USD…

While when we had it at home, after a promotion, 51,100 IDR for two portions of the special ramen, so it was 25,550 IDR or around 1.8 USD.

So even after I used thepromotion for both of the dine in and take away food, the dine in would be still a bit cheaper, even not much.

And when our food finished prepared, the alarm would rang, never happened when we ordered it at home, of course.

Here how the alarm looked, then I took my ramen and I put extra chilli powder on it…

unfortunately they didn’t have the sliced chilli anymore, but when you take away it they gave it separated from the noodle.

Here was our food looked like,

Both of us ordered the same special ramen which we also had had before at home. Here was when we had had it at home.

From the look you could see their other difference,

THIRD DIFFERENCE: “BOWL”

At home they would only gave you the paper bowl and the soup was in the plastic separated from the noodle and also its’ topping. Like I already told you, the egg looked different even before we tasted it.

FOURTH DIFFERENCE: “TASTE”

At home, by delivery

Eat dine in

Yeah even it was the same ramen, the taste would be better when it served hot when we dine in at the food court than when we had had it at home before. The egg tasted different but both were great, we loved how they boiled it perfectly with sweet flavour (the one we had had at home), but we also loved when it half boiled like what we had last Saturday.

I would explain that the ramen texture was perfect in authentic broth of chicken which was cooked with Nagoya style, the ramen itself had savory flavour, which tasted best when it served really hot. Then it also had the Barbeque style of chicken which had soft texture and sweet flavour plus smell so good to have (which unfortunately I cannot share here).

And in my conclusion, it is better to have dine in ramen than the delivery/take away one, cause it would make the taste less delicious when it is not served really hot.

SO, now do you want to try our 1 USD tasty ramen too?
