Hello, friends especially foodies!
Recently it was still in the morning so that my aunt and his husband took me and my uncle out. We went far away that day in the car, we went to Old Market (Pasar Lama in my language) – the area in Tangerang, West Java just to bring us to enjoy noodle. So curious, because they were promoting it so well and they looked like it. Before we going on, I would like to tell you a bit about Pasar Lama which I translated into English to be Old Market is an area that famous for its’ culinary, especially hawker’s food. So no wonder, this area is popular among foodies here. Prepare your empty hungry food to come to this area.
Named old market because it placed near the market building which already built over decades.
If you see the blue roof building, it was the market building.
The noodle house where we went was just a modest stall one. Outside they put the photo of their menu plus the price so you could estimate the price before you get in.
Inside they had not many wooden tables with modest wooden chairs too. But although it was small and not large, it had air conditioners which made it quite comfortable to dine in. You could see that this place was full of customers.
Like you could also see outside, inside they put the banner with the menus' photo on one side of their wall.
The menu that they offered were all noodles. They had special noodle, pork noodle, pork rice noodle, pork flat noodle, chicken noodle, mushroom chicken noodle, mushroom pork noodle, pork/chicken porridge, and water spinach noodle. They also sold additional menu like tofu meatball, dumplings and swikiau.
Eventhough they didn't have many menu but from the number of customer that they had I was quite sure that they specialized on the menu they had.
To eat there for the brunch, we had three bowls of noodle for four of us to share. That day we ordered two portions of chicken mushroom noodle which came first and this were how they looked....
And we also tried their pork noodle that day and here how it looked..
The texture of their noodle was chewy but soft. It also had curly looked, just like my late mother like. It tasted savory and the noodle was tasty.
The pork noodle served with two kind of pork. The red barbeque one had sweet flavour while the fried brown one had savory flavour. It was tasty and the pork noodle price was just 25K IDR or it was only around 1.5 USD for noodle with those pork topping, wow! what a cheap price!
The chicken mushroom noodle had small cubical chicken meat and of course mushroom as the toppings. The chicken tasted savory while the mushroom brough sweet flavour to it. So I thought they made a match combination!
This was me while enjoying the noodle and I sat next to my uncle.
While on the other side of the table, my aunt and her husband. They brought some portions of noodle to take home too!
So i think you should come and try the affordable tasty noodle that this noodle house has!
