Hello, friends especially foodies!
Last Friday was a public holiday in my country, and on Saturday, mom needed to meet her internist for her monthly control even though mom’s right eye was still needed to close with the plastic patch because of the cataract surgery but we decided to go out on that Friday. Not a long time after we arrived in the shopping center, both mom and I were hungry so we decided to have our lunch in the food court at the 5th floor.
That day, we craved food from different stalls. Mine was a famous franchise brand of American fried chicken, while mom is our country famous local brand of noodle restaurant. You must know the brand of the fried chicken restaurant which sold my lunch because it claimed itself as the number one fried chicken…
First mom and I went to the food stall which sold my lunch. They hung their menus on the top like usually.
The stall was quite large and their staffs were wearing red uniforms and they would nicely greet you when you came to their stall.
As you could see the menu they sold were chicken. They had fried chicken, chicken strips, chicken burgers and others. Mostly they sold chicken, no beef there!
But maybe you also like chicken like I do.. They served chicken in packages, and if you bought their packages, they would offer you some side dishes which you can simply add to your menu, by only adding small amount of money.
I ordered mine, we paid, then I took the tray to our table then I bought the menu mom wanted. Here was where I bought the menu mom wanted.
This stall is a famous brand here, they had many branches in all the shopping centers of my city.
The stall sold rice with beef chilli on the top, broccoli beef black pepper, chicken, even they also had fried rice too. They also had noodles, which was their specialization. They had many variants of noodle too here. They also still had some side dishes, beverages and also special menus during this month.
After paid then the staff would give us an electronic alarm which would be beep and vibrate when the food is ready then we needed to go back to the stall to take our food. In our food court we must self service ourselves.
While waiting, many customers came to the stall where I bought the food for mom could tell how famous is this brand here.
And also this food court, beside you could choose many food inside, also had a comfy, large and clean dining area. They also had washing hands area too plus toilets inside.
After waiting around 10 minutes, mom’s food then ready and I took it from the stall. Here what we had for the lunch

Mom ordered
CAPCAY NOODLE
It actually was noodle poured with the stirred vegetables on the top. It had savory flavour and beside vegetables, it still had some other toppings like chicken, fishballs, shrimp and fishcake. The noodle was like usually, smooth and thin, it had tasty chewy savory flavour. But, mom was little upset about the taste of the capcay because it wasn’t as delicious as it is usually.
Mine was rice with fried chicken, chicken strips, and also the mocha float.
I still added the pom pom potato to my package. And now I would like to tell you about the flavour, each of them.
CHICKEN
First I tried their chicken strips, which I never had before. The texture of the chicken was dry then I knew that it made from the chest, it had crispy skin, the flavour was savory and spicy and guess what? I love it!
Next their fried chicken, I chose the thigh part. It had soft non dry texture, the taste of it was savory because I chose their original fried chicken. Not the best of their chicken this time but I still enjoyed it anyway. It had crispy skin with soft chicken inside, all in savory flavour. I added the sweet sour tomato ketchup to bring the sweet and sour flavour unto it.
POM POM POTATO AND MOCHA FLOAT
The pom pom was crunchy and soft with light savory flavour and I ate it with the chilli sauce which brought the spicy, sour and sweet. Nice!
We were also in love with their mocha float. It had tasty coffee flavour, sweet with the vanilla ice cream on the top. Even I bought one more extra for me because mom had the first finished!
Oh yes before I forget, the price for our lunch, mine was 57,500 IDR and mom’s was 48K IDR, so the lunch costed us 105,500 IDR or around 7.37 USD before the extra drink we bought (costed 12,5 K IDR).

You are eating too much costly dinner but i think in KFC you need to pay such amount
