This dish is one of the famous snacks in southern India especially kerala. For making this , banana pieces are coated in all - purpose batter and fried in oil. Remember: only ripe bananas are used to make this delicious dish.
Take a look on ingredients
- Four Banana ( big)
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- Oil as required
- Water 1/3 cup water
- Baking soda ( 1 pinch)
Let us make batter first
✓ Take 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour, add one pinch salt , turmeric, and baking soda
✓ Mix well
✓ now , add water by mixing . Add water if needed. Don't make it too thin. (I recommend you to use whisk).
✓ Remember ; the consistency of the batter should be thick enough to get proper coating to bananas.
Come we shall make it now.
- Slice bananas into thin pieces
- Put oil in a deep frying vessel so that banana get sinks well.
- Mix sliced bananas with batter.
- When oil gets heated ,Put this coated bananas in the oil.
- Turn the bananas on time don't let it spoil. When both sides turn golden colour, take it out and keep in a proper container. It is good to keep a paper beneath it to suck oil from the fry.
