We have decided to have a family tradition, at least twice a month visiting restaurants and trying different dishes that we find interesting. We've been doing it for a few months now but I always forget to take photos and share here (my mind is a mess 😅) Yesterday we went to a very well-known Japanese food restaurant in the Palermo area (Buenos Aires).
Mirutaki is the name of this emblematic place. When we arrived we ordered a couple of Argentine-brewed beers but with Japanese ingredients. KIRA, we decided on a Kolsch and a Ginger.
To start we ordered two servings of Takoyaki. They are balls filled with octopus, Japanese mayonnaise, Katsuobushi and Tonkatsu. The flavor was crazy, you could see how all the flavors mixed in your mouth and the balls dissolved, very soft and delicious.
Even though the place was very small, it was quite cozy and the service and attention of the waiters was very fast and efficient. Here you can see some customers eating at the bar while the dishes are prepared in front of them. We asked for a table for three.
The first main dish we ordered was a Ramen: EBI KARAI (Prawn broth), which contained noodles, prawns, egg, corn, chili, nori and other ingredients and seasonings. A dish that can definitely be shared with another person, lots of flavor and a good size.
The next dish was Sushi, SASHIMI MORIAWASE, 10 units of assorted fish sashimis on rice noodles. The flavor of these pieces was really strong but pleasant, very delicious. I have tried many sushi in different restaurants in the city and I can say that nothing compares to this.
The last dish we ordered was NIGIRI MORIAWASE, 10 units of Nigiris of assorted fish and seafood, salmon, octopus, national fish and others. The waiter gave us a brief description of each unit, mentioning a special order in which we should start eating.
After this we ordered a couple more beers but this time they were Red IPA, we decided to also order a dessert but at that moment I forgot to take photos 😅 If I had to recommend a good place to eat Japanese food I would definitely recommend this one and obviously I would go again. The place is first come, first serve and you have to sign up for a waiting list, it is usually very busy.
I wanted to take a photo of the bill but I also forgot, it is not a cheap place in fact, for everything we ate we paid approximately 97,000 Argentine pesos, which is equivalent to just over 100 USD but... I think it's worth it.
It is a pleasure to share this with you and my experience at this Japanese restaurant. I hope you have a nice night and thanks for watching and reading 😉
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
