Hungry… Yes!(back story)

As you know this was an exciting morning full of decisions and issues. If you recall Norberts German Butchery Restaurant review the Queen had to decide on where we were going. This decision only happened around 9am that morning and she still needed to get ready, fashionably late. What was supposed to be brunch at 10am ended up being lunch… I had not eaten breakfast! And here I am sitting in a place full of food, stomach eating me up from the inside. One did not need to speak stomach to know the torment inside...

To Pick or Not to Pick

The Queen, looking after her figure and health went for the Banting Breakfast, possibly the healthiest option on the menu. She didn’t even look at the menu, the waiter came and she ordered. She must have had a craving, or something? I sat there shocked and my girlfriend turned pale as she quickly and frantically grabbed the menu to order food. We hadn’t thought of what drinks we would order. And here the Queen sat, smiling at us with both, her food and drinks ordered.

I knew what I wanted, anything with bacon and eggs. I could feel the stress and panic my girlfriend was giving off as she was deciding what to pick, making decisions is not an easy thing to do. Under the pressure she cracked and safely took the English breakfast.

Words can not describe my satisfaction when I saw these large plates of food… they were glowing at this point.

So much food and oh boy was it good. I can’t tell you what was the best, it was all so tasty and satisfying. The only thing that I would have changed was the potato and onion. I am a picky onion eater, but I still enjoyed the meal.

Don't let the plates deceive you, they're bigger than you think, good thing we combined our breakfast and lunch.😂 Ouma even gave half her food away to me 👀

For a restaurant you expect a large plate with a small snack right in the middle, this was a feast. 🍴 Think family-style Sunday brunch with all the fixins and hungry locusts to feed.🤍

Ouma went for the great Banting Breakfast and distributed half her plate to the designated vacuum cleaner.😂 Playing it safe🙄 girlfriend had the boring (but yummy) English Breakfast🍳🥓 while boyfriend had the unpronounceable, mysterious, card-loaded feast. 🥩🍳🥖The food was so great that every plate was cleaned!🍽

We will return hungry for more, to try the rest of the menu and definitely have a milkshake in their epic antique milkshake glasses! (The ones you see in the movies!)🍦
