Still about regional cuisine, this time I want to write about Acehnese regional cuisine which is very authentic, because it uses spices that only exist in Aceh, as you know that Aceh is very famous for its abundant spices. So the food I want to introduce to the community today is called: Kuah Pliek
WHAT IS KUAH PLIEK?
Pliek sauce is a soup dish, or soup that is usually served with rice as a side dish, the contents of this plik sauce also vary, even though the basic ingredients are vegetables, for those of you who like green food, maybe this food can be a good recommendation. In addition to vegetables there are also those that use banana hearts, or bamboo shoots, so what do you think, foodies friends be hive?
The name Plik sauce itself is taken from the secret spice for making this sauce so it becomes very delicious, the secret seasoning is Plik U, do you know if you are a foodies friend, be hive? in English Pliek U means "fermented coconut" yes, as the name implies, processed old coconut which is split and then discarded, then dried in the sun and the oil is milked dry, then "fermented coconut" is called Plik U, and Plik U this is the basic spice for making the typical Aceh Pliek sauce.
Maybe those of you who come from abroad think this is rubbish, but in the hands of Acehnese people, the coconut pulp is something that has high aesthetic value, so it can produce the best food. Here I include a Plik U image, so that foodies friends don't get confused.
