Hi foodies...
It's been a long time since I opened the Hive blog, this time I want to share a simple recipe for cooking seafood. Well, this time we're trying Stir-fried Squid with Green Chilies.
In my opinion, this home cooking recipe is very simple, and I'm sure after sharing it with my friends here, it's very easy to try it at home.
Okay, here is the recipe and how to cook Stir-fried Squid with Green Chilies:
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of squid, cleaned and cut into rings
- 5-8 large green chilies, sliced diagonally
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 5 shallots, thinly sliced
- 1 red tomato, cut into small cubes
- 1/2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
- 3 tablespoons oil for sauteing
- 40 ml water (or as needed)
- Kaffir lime leaves (optional, for aroma)
How to Cook:
Prepare Ingredients
Wash the squid and cut into rings or to taste. Slice the green chilies, garlic, shallots, and tomatoes.
Saute Spices
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Saute garlic and shallots until fragrant and wilted. If you like, add kaffir lime leaves for a fresher aroma.
Add Chilies and Tomatoes
Add chopped green chilies and tomatoes. Stir-fry briefly until the chilies are slightly wilted.
Add Squid
Add squid pieces to the pan. Stir-fry the squid with the spices for 2-3 minutes until the squid changes color.
Seasoning
Add sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and sugar (if you like it a little sweet). Stir well.
Add Water
Pour in water little by little to make the sauce, stir well, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the squid is perfectly cooked and the spices are absorbed.
Serve
Remove and serve the Squid Stir-fried Green Chilies while warm. Enjoy with warm white rice.
This recipe is easy and quick to cook, perfect for a spicy and delicious dinner dish, lets try it at home.
