Eggs are one of the most important staples in Indonesia, even the price of eggs sometimes skyrocket when the stock of eggs on the farm has not yet entered the harvest period.

Not only that, sometimes the mafia also plays a role in playing with prices, because eggs are one of the basic necessities in our area.

Eggs are a food ingredient that can be served with a variety of foods, rich in protein, so eggs are a necessity for sustainable consumption. Even if fish is expensive in my city, people look for eggs as a substitute.

Based on data tempo.co consumption of eggs in Indonesia continues to increase. In 2017, egg consumption in Indonesia reached 18.44 kg per capita per year. In 2018 it reached 17.73 kg per capita per year, in 2019 it reached 17.77 kg per capita per year and in 2020 it reached 28.16 kg per capita per year. So there is no doubt that eggs are one of the staple foods in my country.
