I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, but the timing has always been not good. lol
So I told you about my best friend Alyyssa, who was in Cebu for work I wanted to spend some time with her, and I promise to take her to some places I want to eat and this place is one of those I wanted to take her out.
I asked to take her to dinner before she returns to Leyte, and as it was raining that night, I suggested we should just eat dinner nearby, and then I noticed the Tamp Cafe opposite the hotel where she is staying while I check on my phone. Now I'm glad that, despite the bad weather, I'm finally going to try this cafe, and the timing is perfect and I'm with my best friend. lol
It took me a bit to get there since it was pouring, so it's a good thing she's just across the restaurant in that way and it was easy for her to cross. When I arrived, the guard welcomed me with a great smile and even helped me inside the restaurant since he was concerned that I was a little soaked from the rain.
I quickly spotted a wonderful table where Alyyssa and I could both sit comfortably. I spent some time checking the area while I waited for her to arrive to get some beautiful pictures of the place. As I waited for her, they handed me the menu right away. There is a lot of delicious stuff that I want to sample, but I doubt I can finish them all. lol
My friend appears to be arriving late because they are still working on something before returning to Leyte, so I ordered first. I ordered the Twin Chops, which are two pan-seared pork chops with herb butter served with garlic rice, and a Mango Passionfruit to drink. My friend arrived at the exact moment my order did, and she went right to my seat. She became envious of the meal I had ordered and ordered the same food I have as well as the drink I had too. lol
Of course, I waited until her food arrived so that we could both eat together. Looking at the food, it seems excellent, and the portion of the food I ordered is worth the money I spent. Allyssa was pleased with the place and impressed with the meal as well. She is seeking a great spot to visit before returning to Leyte and reality, and she has found it here just across from the place she is staying. lol
We started eating once they finally brought her food and drink, and I was beyond pleased with the food I ordered. It is very tasty and scrumptious. Even Alyyssa is awed by the portions and the flavor and that made us both happy.
Although we were both quite full from our meals, I suggested that we get some dessert because I wanted her to try it and because it might be a while before she can return to Cebu. I also wanted her to have the chance to experience everything else that this restaurant has to offer in addition to the delectable food options they have.
When we asked the server about the cake we wanted to order, she said that some of them were already sold out and went to the counter to check. And when she returned, she was beaming and thrilled, telling me that they were offering 1 peso for a cake, and I was like, really? She assured me that she is serious. I was unaware of the current promotion, and you may get the 1 Peso cake if you purchase their meals and beverages.
We were pleased with the cake we ordered, and it was really delicious. You should try it, and I can assure you that your money will not be squandered on their meals and desserts along with their selection of drinks.
