Do you also love ice cream? Most people will answer YES I think.
I can eat ice cream nearly every day, but not the ones you buy in the supermarket. They're fully loaded with sugar (around 30%!). As I can't have sugar that's not an option. And I don't like the chemical taste of aspartame.
Most of the times I make ice cream myself without any sugar or sugar substitutes. When I have more time I will share that recipe. But this time I want to share a very easy and quick way to make an ice cream.
First of all the best way to make is with a ice cream maker. They come in various styles. The cheapest ones are with a cup you need to put in the freezer for 24 hours before you can make ice cream. This system is good if you only make ice cream occasionally.
I use an ice cream maker with a build in compressor. No need to freeze the container. It safes me place in the freezer, and the consistency of the ice cream is better. Also when living in a hot area this ones cools down while churning.
This time I opted for an easy way. I took 500ml of drink yoghurt without sugar.
I added 100 ml of cooking cream. (That was the only one I had at that time).
Just pour them together in a bowl and stir.
The container has a capacity of 1,5 liter. But you have to keep in mind that you can only use maximum half of the amount as it will expand during churning!
Now turn on the machine, set it to 30-40 minutes and pour the liquid in the container.
The machine will start rotating the blades and you will have the churning effect. It also starts to cool down the temperature. The final temperature depends on the surrounding temp. When I made it it was 27 degrees inside and the machine cooled till -16 degrees.
Almost ready!
Ready! You can eat it immediately or put it in the freezer for another time.
This was an experiment. I still had a few ice crystals in the final result. The next batch I made with whipped cream and that one was way better. The whipped cream gave a more creamy texture and expanded more.
Try to stay cool!

It's funny because my husband doesn't know ube ice cream lol. He was shocked when he first saw Pinoy ice creams lol. Vanilla is the bomb!!!!
I have to say the first time I saw ube I was thinking: "Purple? Really???" Hahahahaha I can imagine your husband's reaction. 😮
Exactly what he said: "Purple, really? We're not in Barney's house, are we?" lol
Hahahahhaha ... I think most foreigners will say that! 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
OMG looks easy, sadly we don't have that kind of machine hereeee 🤧. Can I have a cup of that pweasseeeeeee 🤤🤤🤤☹️
Oh that looks great! I never tried making ice cream myself even though I read it isn't that hard to do it even without a machine. I'm skeptical if that's true but defo going to try it one day.
This machine looks amazing but I have no space for that in our tiny kitchen :)
