Hello my dear friends …
This morning i scroll through the gallery of my photos, my initial thought is that i want to look up at the old pictures in my gallery. I just went through pictures that i have just realized that i didnt post yet in here. Its not even edited yet. The pics is pretty old, its from a year ago. I thought right there and then that i should edit and share them in here because the experience was sooo good and the food taste so good also. The restaurant is Sittara. Sittara is an Indian Restaurant in Bali, Denpasar to be exact. Me and my friends went out to Denpasar while looking for dinner. I was picked up by my friend in my hotel and then we planned to meet our other friend in Denpasar since she lived there. After we meet each other, we stroll around trying to find somewhere good to eat. Its quite hard because there is many choices yet we dont really know what we want to eat. Finally, we stopped to talk for a bit. Then in the spot where we stopped, there is actually an Indian restaurant. My friends loves Indian food like me. So, we agreed to just eat in there. As we can see, the place is dark and its not really eye catching or noticeable. We even thought there was nothing in there and that is the reason why we decided to stop there.
Anyway, there is a really funny thing happened. So, our guy friend went to the toilet or something i dont really remember. Me and my girl friend still talk and getting ready to go out from the restaurant. We wait and we wait but our guy friend didnt come back. We were so worried. Me and my girl friend literally went to the panic mode. We go here and there, crossed the road, asked the security, went to the minimart, yet there is no trace of him. We tried to call his phone but his phone is with our girl friend which is with me at the time. Its also in the middle of the night so we were very worried. Then my girl friend saw a clothing store and we decided to try them. In the beginning i was thinking “ no way” but well, he’s there shop for a jeans. Very funny.
This is what Sittara looks like. Its quite run down and no one there. I think I understand because at that time, the pandemic still going quite crazy. I think that i dont have any expectations with the food at the time because how this place looks like. We really should not judge a food by its restaurant.
This is the menu. They have a lot of menu that i always get confused which one to eat and order. I ended up leaving all the choices to my friends since i trusted their judgement. It also seems like they’re more pro at Indian food compare to me.
This is very cute. After we order, the staff in there put this flower shaped napkin in our table along with the cutlery.
This is our food. The lightening in the room is bad so i think my pictures turn out so bad. The food, lets talk about the food because everything taste amazing. I have such a low expectations but ended up totally falling in love.
For the drink, i ordered Lassi and i know right there and then this is not the drink for me. It taste so weird because its salty. I only like salty food but never salty drink.
I love Indian food! I will go this restaurant next time I go to Denpasar.
