Hello my dear friends. Staying in Bali, especially around Canggu and Seminyak area means that we’re surrounded by western food. But, hey, a girl has her craving. So, this was when i was still naive and didnt know anything. I thought that well, its a local food so the price must be just the same like what we have in my city. Boy oh boy, how wrong i was. Of course , if you want local food you should buy it in local area not in tourist area. Well, after staying for quite a bit in here i can already find my own preferred place. Sometimes i want to eat in this kind of place sometimes i wang to eat in a cheaper place. Dont get me wrong, its not like they charge the menu with such an insanely high price, the price is reasonable especially in the tourist area. Its just, there is always a more cheaper place we can easily find here and there. The name of the place that i will share to you guys today are Warung Ambara. At the time, i stayed in the hostel near that and i asked the staff in the hotel where can i find some local food just by walking distance from the hostel. They were recommended this place to me.

This is what the place looks like. The sitting area is only semi outdoor where there is no air conditioner but there are roof over our head so its a perfect place to chill where you kinda get bored with the comfort of your air conditioned room and you be too lazy to go out to the beach. I love the decoration of this place. Its totally my vibe. Usually i like monotone or similar colors with the design of a place and i dont prefer a pop out color but strangely i really like what they have in here. This aqua blue or turquoise looks totally out of place but strangely fit so well. Maybe because of the small details that they put in their wall decoration is in the same color with the couch. I think that this simple and little details can change a whole look of the design. So cool.
Like in many warteg, we choose the food that we want from this because they put all of their food here in display. We can see and choose the one that we want to put in our plate. We can also choose how many scoops we want it in our plate. After choose everything that we want, we will bring our plate to the cashier and the cashier lady will count all of the food we choose to have and what is the end price for us. Oh and also, dong forget to order our drink in the cashier.
This is my beautiful rice. I never like to eat chicken or fish in warteg. Usually, i only order perkedel, egg, tempeh, etc. but its that kind of food. I think they’re easier to eat and its because usually i have never finished a whole chicken in this kind of place. And its not like i can bring them home because i will not feel like eating them anymore after few hours. I will start wanting to eat another food.
For the drink, of course semi outdoor seating area means that its coconut time! Its just so refreshing especially drinking coconut in the middle of the day where the sun is scorching hot. My body feel refreshed and healed.
Sadly, as good as it is, i cant finish them.
