Greetings to all lovers of sweets.
Today I come to present you the way to prepare these delicious coconut sweets which is very traditional in my country Venezuela where the main ingredient is fresh coconut meat accompanied by molasses of paper and wheat flour.
The particular form of this sweet is that it is made like a rectangular cake where the whole mixture is baked and then cut into small pieces to enjoy at snack.
Ingredientes-Ingredients:
1 coco rallado.
4 tazas de harina de trigo leudante.
1 papelón.
2 1/2 de agua.
Canela en concha.
Polvo royal al gusto.
1 grated coconut.
4 cups of self-rising wheat flour.
1 piece of paper
2 1/2 water.
Cinnamon in shell.
Royal powder to taste.
Preparación-Preparation:
Cook the panela over low heat in a pot with the water and the shelled cinnamon until it dissolves.
Once the syrup is ready, turn off the heat and let it rest, remove the impurities with the help of a sieve and reserve a little molasses to brush our cake once baked.
Add the baking powder and stir a little, then gradually add the wheat flour alternating with the coconut. Continue stirring until you finish with all the ingredients.
Prepare the mold where all the mixture will be placed, flattening the dough a little.
Bake in the preheated oven until it reaches the desired point.
Remove from the oven and add the panela syrup that we had reserved while the cake is hot.
Once the cake is cold, we cut the pieces and we have our delicious coconut kisses to enjoy.
