In Venezuela the mango is a delicacy that can be consumed as a fruit and depending on each region we can prepare it in salads, juices, sweets, cakes, sauces, pickles and jams, but without a doubt the most popular are jellies and the consumption of green mango with salt or spice, although it is not recommended for health if consumed in excess and it is not something to my liking either.
To take advantage of the harvest of this fruit I will show you how to prepare a delicious jam that is very easy to make and with very few ingredients that we can be very useful for breakfast or snack.
Ingredientes-Ingredients:
10 mangos maduros picados en rodajas.
2 tazas de agua.
1 taza de azúcar.
Canela en concha al gusto.
Jugo de 1/2 limón.
10 sliced ripe mangoes
2 cups of water.
1 cup of sugar.
Cinnamon in shell to taste.
Juice of 1/2 lemon.
Preparación-Preparation:
Boil the fruit with the water over low heat until all the pulp dissolves.
Add the sugar, lemon juice and stir with a wooden spoon.
Add the cinnamon shell to the preparation and let it continue boiling.
Remove from the heat when it acquires a smooth and creamy consistency, let it cool.
Once the jam is cold, pass it through a sieve to remove the mango shreds.
Serve in previously sterilized glass containers and take to the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Ready to enjoy our jam accompanied by whatever you want.
