A Nice Fried Rice Lunch at Diandin Leluk

One of the delicious cuisines I haven’t had in a while is Thai food. It’s known for its bold flavors and incredibly tasty dishes. So, for lunch, I decided to dine at Diandin Leluk. I also noticed they’re offering a great promotion: a combo meal that includes a main dish, a drink, and a side or dessert.

For my meal, I ordered the Seafood Fried Rice set!

For me, a fried rice dish is always an easy choice. It may not be the healthiest option, but because it tastes so good, I can’t resist it when I’m really hungry. This lunch was perfect timing since I was starving after a late start. I wanted something substantial and well-rounded, so I went with the set meal that Diandin Leluk is currently offering.

Among the drink choices they offered, I opted for the iced coffee. Initially, I wanted to order a hot coffee because I prefer warm drinks, but the staff informed me that hot coffee wasn’t available with the combo meal. I was a bit disappointed since it doesn’t make sense to limit drink options based on temperature. I think they should reconsider this part of the combo meal and make some improvements.

The fried rice was okay, but it doesn’t compare to the quality you’d find at restaurants like Din Tai Fung or even some of the better hawker versions. I’d say hawker-style fried rice is still a better choice than Diandin Leluk’s version.

What I did enjoy was the freshness of the squid, though the other ingredients, like the vegetables and prawns, were the typical frozen kind.

Of all the items in this combo meal, the one that truly satisfied me was the Chendol! I enjoyed the Thai version because of the generous toppings and the rich coconut milk they use. It was delicious, and the sweetness level was just perfect for my taste.
