A nice lunch at the 88 Western food stall!

There is a particular Western food stall that always comes to mind whenever I'm craving something grilled, delicious, and affordable: 88 Western Food! I think they offer one of the most affordable Western food options in the city, which is why they are quite popular. Usually, this type of food is priced around $8 to $10, so it's quite surprising that they even have a price range of $4.50 to $5.50 on their menu. I wonder whether they are able to profit, especially in this current economy where most prices of goods have already gone up.

For this lunch, I ordered one of the more "premium" items from their menu: the Chicken Chop set!

Unlike the regular chicken chop, this meal comes with extra sides like French fries, beans, and deep-fried buns.

This is the kind of set that leaves me satisfied after finishing all of it. It also makes me feel that I spent my money well because it's very filling, thanks to the generous serving of each item on the plate.

Surprisingly, the French fries are much better than what common fast-food chains are serving. These have a good crunch on the exterior while maintaining a nice, mushy potato inside. They're not dry at all and remain nice because they're freshly made upon ordering. The staff work quickly but don't take shortcuts, which is why I prefer this meal over fast food.

And of course, the grilled chicken is the best part of this meal. It was cooked perfectly and at the right temperature. It was moist and tender, tasting great with the peppery gravy!

Lastly, the deep-fried bun is a nice addition to this meal. It's sweet and a little crispy on the exterior, while the inside is doughy like a donut. It's the perfect complement to this meal.
