This afternoon felt so warm that it was exhausting to simply walk outside. I feel dehydrated because I didn’t drink enough water during noon time. To treat myself better, I'm having a nice Fish Head soup from Choy Kee’s Seafood Kitchen and I’m also drinking an isotonic soda to help regain those electrolytes back 😅. The first sip of the soda feels so good 😊.
But the one that made me feel even better was this soothing bowl of Fish head soup.
There's a good reason why a soup dish is my go-to meal whenever I want to feel better. It almost always makes me feel better after finishing the meal. Somehow, it brings back good memories of my childhood, and that in effect makes me feel better.
I know that a hawker stall is doing good in their food when they are not trying to be flashy. They simply create good food that their customers will enjoy so they keep coming back, including me :)
Choy Kee's Seafood Kitchen is located on the corner. Even though their stall is not as visible as the others, they have gathered enough patrons to sustain their business.
It's about good food and good service. That made them a place where everything on their long list of menus will always taste better.
In this bowl, there are plenty of other ingredients that make this bowl so satisfying. Aside from the deep-fried fish head, ingredients like taro sticks, cabbage, ginger, tomatoes, and white bee hoon have added a nice flavor to the soup.
And of course, my favorite condiment that pairs with almost any dish that I like... the pickled green chili!
This soup looks yummy,it's warm at your place here it's so cold! I bet this soup will be useful for warm up 🙂
I don't often have this but whenever I'm not feeling well, it will be the first thing in my mind :)
