Whenever I'm not sure what type of food to eat, I usually choose either Thai or Vietnamese cuisine. Both have distinct, bold, and delicious flavors that excite you from the very first taste. There's nothing ordinary about either cuisine, which is why they never fail to amaze me.
Tonight, I went to one of my favorite Thai restaurants to get something soothing: I had the Pork Noodle Soup!
This is a great dish to have during the rainy season or at night because it warms you up. It's not just the hot soup, but also the peppery flavor that makes it comforting. The restaurant is air-conditioned, which makes it the perfect meal for the night.
I like the interior of the restaurant; it's quite modern, yet there are elements that clearly suggest it's a Thai restaurant. The decorations and displays definitely reflect Thai culture.
As for the dish, it may seem simple, but there are plenty of ingredients that contribute to its complexity. The various ingredients add layers of flavor and texture. It consists of noodles, pork balls, pork slices, pork liver, bean sprouts, and even morning glory stems.
I like the morning glory stems; they were cut into small, ring-like pieces. While they don't have a strong flavor, the texture is something I really enjoy. What’s interesting about Thai food is the variety of textures in a single dish—some are soft, chewy, crunchy, and others are smooth. It makes eating so much fun!
Overall, the combination of flavors and textures in this dish made it both comforting and exciting to eat. It's definitely a meal I’d recommend if you're looking for something satisfying and full of variety!
Absolutely yum! I love food with hot soupy slurps. 🫶🏻😋
