Among the types of food that I tried before, Tim Sum & Pau is definitely in my top 10 list. I think that Tim Sum and Pau are some of the greatest food inventions that mankind has created. It's delicious and it's also convenient to eat. It looks like a pouch with nice fillings inside. The fun part is that you can also eat the "pouch" itself.
Although the Pau looks simple, it's a tricky food to prepare. I haven't done a homemade pau before but I've seen how it was made at a restaurant before. It's very entertaining which is why some of the restaurants are showcasing their staff/chefs while they are making pau.
This afternoon, I went to my favorite Tim Sum place during my high tea break.
I ordered a Big Pork Pau and 2 small lotus pau. The small lotus pau is so cute that it looks like a marshmallow. With warm weather, I felt that an iced lemon tea was a perfect pair for the Paus.
This type of pau can be ordered from Chin Sin Huan which is located in Jalan Batu food center.
The big pork pau is filled with pork and some other ingredients that make this Pau a huge treat for this week!
The pau itself was made to perfection. The texture of the outside feels like a marshmallow and then the filling is either savory like the lotus paste pau.
I think this pau is one of the best... considering the affordable price.
