Among all of the Southeast Asian food that I have tried, Indonesian food is probably the one that gives me the most satisfaction when it comes to the flavor and taste combination. One of the best stalls that I tried is the one at Clementi Mall, the Ayam Bakar by Mr. Bakar
The stall is located at the furthest end of Boleh Boleh foodcourt hence it’s not easy to find. The only reason why I found the stall was because I was looking for something unique to eat.
Mr. Bakar is focused on serving good Indonesian food at an affordable price. I’ve tried Indonesian cuisine before and I remember that it’s always been more expensive than many of the food from other stalls.
The price of this Ayam Bakar only costs me S$7.20 which is considered a good deal.
I think the best part of the meal is the rice. It’s very tasty and flavorsome. I believe the color came from the Bluepea flower while the flavor came from the coconut milk. The rice itself can be considered as a dish on its own, it’s very good!
The chicken was grilled to perfection. It’s tender and juicy.
The sauce is a combination of savory & sweet taste. This combination is one of the best for my preference. It’s perfect for any grilled meat and it goes well with all of the dishes on this plate.
This is easily one of the best dishes that I had and I will come back for more!
I often made blue pea rice with coconut milk. 😊
You should go to Indonesia one day.
I heard about Blue Pea flower tea before but I never thought it could be used to flavor rice as well. Love it and enjoyed it 😊
Indonesia is definitely on my list of places to visit as well. 👍😊👍
👏 Keep Up the good work on Hive ♦️ 👏
