I wanted to start doing a kind of food diary to showcase what is possible on a vegan diet. Vegans are always asked some profound questions, such as "where do you get your protein?" or "how do you live without cheese?" So I thought I would just show the highlights of what I eat (with varying difficulty) and hope to lead by example. I live in the U.K. and some brands might only be found here.
I had an English breakfast for lunch today.
What's on the plate:
Toast (Danish bread on this occasion)
Hash browns
Baked beans
Richmond's meat-free sausages
Scrambled, smoked tofu with spring onions, tomato, mushrooms, and a dash of kala namak (black salt) to give it that taste of egg.
