Es domingo y dentro de mis comidas favoritas domingueras se encuenta el pollo frito, hoy les comparto mi preparación de pollo frito, ensalada rallada y yuca frita para almorzar.
It's Sunday and one of my favorite Sunday meals is fried chicken, today I share with you my preparation of fried chicken, grated salad and fried yucca for lunch.
Preparación - Preparation:
Lo primero que hago es lavar y picar un pollo en pequeños pedazos,
The first thing I do is wash and chop a chicken into small pieces,
Después machaco ajo y onoto.
Then I crush garlic and onoto.
El onoto y ajo se ponen en un bowl sobre el pollo, además se pone curri en pequeña cantidad y comino,

Se masajea el pollo y se pone un toque de sal.

Después batí un huevo para agregar a la mezcla de pollo,

Se masajea todo junto a harina de trigo hasta que se incorpore muy bien.

El pollo se deja tapado unos minutos mientras se prepara la ensalada.

Para la ensalada rallada se necesita zanahoria, repollo, mayonesa, sal, azúcar, agua, vinagre. Se lava la zanahoria, se pela y se lava el repollo.
For grated salad you need carrot, cabbage, mayonnaise, salt, sugar, water, vinegar. Wash the carrot, peel and wash the cabbage.
La zanahoria de ralla por la parte gruesa del rallador.
Grate the carrot through the coarse part of the grater.
El repollo se lava y se rebana en delgadas tiras largas.
Cabbage is washed and sliced into thin long strips.
Luego se pone todo en una ensaladera, preparamos la vinagreta de la ensalada...

Yo mezclo en una pequeña tacita; agua con azúcar, vinagre, sal. Todo eso lo coloco en la ensalada y mezclo junto a la mayonesa.
I mix in a small cup; water with sugar, vinegar, salt. I put all this in the salad and mix it together with the mayonnaise.
Luego la ensalada se mantiene refrigerada mientras frito el pollo.
The salad is then kept refrigerated while the chicken is fried.
El pollo se fríe en abundante aceite, que los pedazos floten, se les da vuelta y que tengan una larga cocción para que así no quede crudo.
The chicken is fried in abundant oil, so that the pieces float, they are turned over and cooked for a long time so that it does not remain raw.
El fuego debe estar entre alto y medio alto, regulando las temperaturas para así evitar quemar tanto las piezas de pollo como el aceite.

De mi cosecha de yuca, tengo guardada yuca sancochada en mi nevera, la descongelo, pico en trozos medianos...

Luego frito la yuca en el aceite donde freí el pollo así adquiere un sabor grasoso y rico.

Después se sirve todo en grandes platos para que toda la familia coma, tanto pollo y yuca fritos como ensalada.
Everything is then served on large plates for the whole family to eat, both fried chicken and yucca as well as salad.
