This is another edition of #Foodfriday, where if unleash my inner foodie!
This time I'm going to proclaim my love for yet another popular food (depending on where you live).

**This time I'm talking about PIZZA... **
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Pizza is probably one of the most popular dishes (if we can call it that) on the planet. At least, the parts I've been in the world. Of course, I realize that it has very much been boosted by western culture and COUNTLESS references in movies... I mean seriously, have you ever tried to count the amount of movies the refer to or show pizza??? Where are the stat nerds when you need them?!
It's also everywhere... A lot of the countries (let's say 98%) I've traveled to had some kind of restaurant offering Pizza.
And let's not forget, it is actually a traditional dish.
Now this would be a great spot to start talking about the history of pizza and where it's actually from. But this is not that kind of post 😂😂😂.
I'm here to talk about the yumminess of it all 😋😋😋!
Ok fine, I can tell you that the modern day Pizza was 'invented' in Italy. And we all know that they have a good track record when it comes to food.
But Google has also taught me that the Pizza's predecessor, flatbread, was part of the ancient Egyptian, Romans and Greeks.
Pizza has been here for a while and hopefully is here to stay!
What has Pizza done for me lately?
Well I always grew up eating pizzas on special occasions. Yes it's considered 'junkfood' in some cases but it was always expensive junkfood 😂. So pizza's were reserved for my birthdays or special dates...
I admit that in the beginning my knowledge of Pizza was strictly based on the offerings of Pizza Hut.
Years went buy before I realized that there were other kinds, and thin crust/bottom pizzas (WHO KNEW?... Still weird to me). I still joke with my sister about how she couldn't finish her part and always put it in the fridge expecting it to be there the next morning (it was not, there are rules! 🤣🤣🤣).
She doesn't laugh when I joke about it btw 🤷🏾♂️.
Fast forward to my student days...
This is when I got introduced to the DRUMROLLLLL frozen pizza. You have no idea how many times a frozen pizza saved my life. At some point I just made sure I always had two or three in my freezer. It was always there in case I needed it 😂🤗❤️.
Nowadays I tend to stay away from junkfood (as much as possible) but every other month or so I order a pizza just to live on the wild side.

Hahahahaa, that's why I kept my sprite/7-up in my room when I wasn't able to finish the drink. When it comes to food, I mostly don't leave food behind nowadays 😅.
Pizza is still a "luxury" in these parts and what was I a 'dummy" when I was younger; I used to only eat the crust/bread side of the pizza 🤦♀. Am really disappointed in how picky I was when it came to food.
Hahah I don't know the names of the toppings.. You'll just have to try them all!
Whyyyyy would you just eat the crust? Hahaha that basically eating fancy bread 😂😂😂...
