So the whole family self-quarantined for 5 days without stepping out of the house after we were told to be very VERY close contacts to a friend who was tested covid positive.
Many changes were done to accommodate this, some were really difficult and sad decision but necessary. In our country, we are to observe self quarantine depending on the vaccination we have taken. Well I am not going to debate about that as I want to focus on the celebration today instead!
To celebrate that, I cooked my frozen dumplings I bought from the store for only MYR9.10 or less than USD2.50 for 10 mini dumplings. For some reason, because dumplings has been my comfort food, I think of it today first thing after I know we are out of quarantine and as my husband and mum-in-law went out to run their errands. Its filling is made of lamb and carrots!

Some of my friends make really beautiful handmade dumplings but for me, I have tried and am not that skillful so I love to stock frozen dumplings in my freezer. Have not done that for a while but when I saw this, I could not resist and bought a packet of it to try especially when it is lamb dumplings, you know.
What I love about this frozen pack of dumplings is I need not defrost it ahead of time before cooking.
Not sure if you can see clearly the instructions on the packaging so let me tell you what I did.
All I need to do was I boiled water in my electric pot and put the dumplings in and wait for it to boil and add in half a bowl of room temperature water and wait for it to bowl again. Then I repeated the above process.
TADAAAAAA!
I did a seasoning combining 2 sauces I have at home, first is this Chiu Chow chili oil and then I also added some ketchup.
OMG it was soooo yummy!
Last but not least, I thank God that we are out of 5 days quarantine tested negative, despite being super close contact with the friend who tested positive. He is also recovering too.
