Lumpia is one Filipino favorite that never goes absent especially when there are special occasions.

Lumpia is made of lumpia wrappers, ground meat and vegetables, and some seasonings. It is a perfect vayand or even just a snack.

First of all, make sure you get the best and the fresh pork to grind. I bought one kilo of pork for ₱350.00.

Always make sure to choose a meat with less fat because it will give your lumpia a better taste. I prefer to buy ingredients at the wet market rather than in the grocery stores.

Next, I bought one potato, one carrot, an onion, and garlic to be grinded together with the pork meat. It tastes way better when the vegetables are grinded altogether with the meat so that it will provide the same smooth texture.

Whenever I plan to make lumpia, I always ask if the meat seller has a grinder because that is when I will proceed with my order because I really want everything to be ground altogether. There he is operating the grinder, putting together meat and vegetables as I instructed him.

After we bought all the ingredients, we then went home to saute the meat.

First of all, before I added the oil, I made sure the pan was hot, I did not add any garlic and onion because it already had onion and garlic in the ground mixture.

I sauteed the meat in low-heat. I then added salt, ground pork and some seasonings to give it a good taste.

I rip the lumpia wrapper apart because if not, these lumpia wrappers will stick with each other and it would be difficult to put in the ingredients inside if that happens.

To make a presentable lumpia, make sure to add the same portion in everything so that all your lumpia will look the same.

It is also better to set the ground meat and vegetables first because if you will add it to the lumpia wrappers while it is still hot, it will cause some holes and it will not be properly wrapped.

Here are the wrapped lumpia looks like. Most of the lumpias are of the same size.

After wrapping everything, it is finally time to cook it. Wait for the pan to be hot before adding the oil, once the oil is hot, add the lumpia one by one and cook it until it is golden brown.

Do not maximize the heat of your stoce because lumpia can be cooked so easily that when you use so much fire, it will easily get burnt.

Fry it in low heat until it is golden brown.

What a perfect meal with our lumpiang shang hai! Ciao! ☺︎♡

Now I'm craving for it! So you cooked pala muna your fillings before you wrap it. Samin hindi na. Pero at least kapag naluto na sya or nagisa, mas malasa lalo yung fillings no. Nahihirapan lang ako magbalot kapag ganyan coz mamasa masa sha

We don't like putting uncooked meat because the longevity of it tends to be lesser. Cooked meat is better, half-cooked to be specific☺︎☺︎☺︎

Lumpiang shanghai ftw! I still have few in freezer, mafry nga.

Oh it's breakfast time here but I really want some lumpia now, haha. Reading the preparation of it and seeing the finished product (golden brown 😋) my stomach is growling 😂
