How are you doing today? Yesterday, I had a unique experience creating a delicious and nutritious pudding using a few slices of bread I had brought for a meal. It was truly a different and delightful culinary adventure. Bread pudding is a dessert that seamlessly combines simplicity with an irresistible flavor. It’s perfect for any occasion and showcases a creative way to use bread. For this recipe, I used bread slices, fresh eggs, milk, and sugar as the main ingredients.
Let’s dive into the step-by-step process of preparing this delightful dessert!
Required Ingredients...
🍀 5 slices of thinly sliced bread.
🍀 2 Egg.
🍀 2/3 cup of sugar.
🍀 fresh milk 250ml.
Method of making....
Step 1:
First, cut the slices of bread into thin, cube-like pieces.
Step 2:
Next Place a saucepan on the stove and add 1/3 cup of sugar. Allow the sugar to melt slowly, stirring occasionally. Once melted, add 1/2 cup of hot water carefully and continue stirring until the mixture turns a golden-brown caramel color. Remove from heat and pour the caramel syrup into the dish you will use to prepare the pudding.
Step 3:
Next, take two eggs and break them into a bowl. Add 1/3 cup of sugar to the eggs. Beat the mixture thoroughly until it becomes smooth and slightly fluffy.
Step 4:
Next, add some fresh milk to it and beat it well.
Step 5:
Add the sliced bread pieces into the egg and sugar mixture. Gently fold the bread pieces into the mixture. Ensure the bread absorbs the mixture completely, creating a smooth and even consistency.
Step 6:
Carefully pour the soaked bread mixture over the caramel syrup already added to the pudding dish.
Smooth out the top to ensure an even layer. Place the dish in a steamer or rice cooker. Steam the pudding for about 30 minutes. Once done, remove it from the steamer and let it cool before serving.
Step 7:
Once the pudding has cooled slightly: Carefully invert it onto a plate to reveal the caramel layer on top. Place the pudding in the refrigerator for about an hour to chill. Serve and enjoy this delicious and nutritious dessert!
After chilling in the refrigerator for an hour, the pudding is ready to be served. Cut it into slices or serve whole, depending on your preference.
