Hello dear hive friends.
Good evening to all hive friends! How are you? Today, I am going to prepare a dish perfect for evening tea time. There's something undeniably comforting about the smell of pancakes wafting through the kitchen. This pancake, also known as Lavaria, is a perfect treat and a favorite among Sri Lankans. It's easy to make and will set a beautiful tea table. Enjoy it with your favorite tea or coffee. So, let's find out how to prepare this delightful dish.
Required Ingredients....
🍀 Wheat flour 200g.
🍀 2/3 cup of sugar.
🍀 1 cup of Grated Coconut.
🍀 1 egg (yolk)
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
🍀 Salt to taste.
🍀 A cardamom pod.
🍀 Water.
Method of making.
1 Step.
First, to prepare the sweet coconut mixture, heat a pan and add some sugar. Once it caramelizes, add some hot water and mix well. Then add the remaining sugar and hot water and allow to caramelize.
2 Step.
Then add the grated coconut to the caramelized sugar mixture, mix well, keep it for 3-4 minutes and remove it from the stove when it turns brown.
3 Step.
Next, take another bowl and add wheat flour, turmeric powder and salt. At the same time add the egg yolk. Mix the water to get the desired consistency to create a thick liquid.
4 Step.
Then put a pan on the stove and let it heat up. Spoon some of the prepared flour mixture over it and swirl it in a circular motion. After it gets steamed, remove it from the stove by following the steps shown in the figure.
5 Step.
After that, add sweet coconut to the prepared pancake and fold it as shown in the pictures below.
Now this delicious pancake is ready. I prepared this recipe yesterday evening to share with my friends. Although a simple dish, it took a creative culinary journey. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea. And I want to say that the sizes here should be prepared to suit you. And try it yourself. See you again with a new plan.
