It's my first time to post on this community.
By the way I'm Honey. Since it's afternoon and I have nothing to do. And we have a ripe banana so I decided to make a 'Ginanggang' a Cebuano it means that a grilled skewered banana brushes with margarine and sprinkled with sugar.
Ginanggang is my favorite snack. I was so happy this time to make a ginanggang because I haven't eaten for a long time. I remember before when I was a kid. I always ask money to my mother so that I can buy ginanggang. Since our neighbor is a seller. And before it only cost $.052 per stick of it. And one stick is not enough for me so I always buy 2 sticks or 3. And I'm the only one who eat it I didn't give any piece to my ate (elder sister)
I already done peeling the banana and skewered. And ready to grilled it.
Gathered the charcoal and lit it and to swell. So that I can start to grilled the banana.
Waiting for the banana to slightly transform to brown/black or until it done grill. Every minute turn to other side so that equally grill. While it was grilled I smell the aroma of the banana since it was so ripe already.
I was done grilling it. And ready to brush some margarine and sprinkled the sugar.
From 4 sticks it was 2 sticks left. Because it was already eat by my partner he can't wait longer. That's why I only picture the 2 sticks. Hungry! So the finale is time to eat.
As for now it's hard to find this kind of snack here. Since no one was selling and I only see a bananaque (fried banana with sugar) seller everywhere. It's rare to see people selling this kind of snack. So happy and satisfied to eat 'ginanggang'.

Grilled banana must be nice I never try it.

I haven't encountered ginanggang here up North (Luzon). Would you prefer that over banana cue? I guess main difference would be the smoky taste w/ margarine?
I think it was common in Bisaya region or maybe Bisaya people only knew this. I must prefer this than banana cue because it's only grilled and not cook with an oil.
