Brazil economy is not the best around, best way to get some money here is trough cultivating vegetables, fruits, and things of the sorts, then selling that every Monday and Thursday, of course that's not just it, we do have some people selling around electronics and lots of food tents, the food that i can most remember the taste is ''pastel e caldo de cana''.

What you guys must know as Fried pastry and sugarcane juice is the food that most scream brazilian food, hard to find a person that doesn't love a pastel around here, it's normally stuffed with cheese and ham, sometimes with chicken well you can actually stuff this thing with whatever you like (seriously i've met people that love that with cheese and sweet guava) , the sugarcane juice is also a cultural symbol around here, it's cheap and deliciously sweet, well it's literally a sugar juice so it's expected.

I actually think i need at least put a recipe of how to do a pastel so you guys can try too, let me know what you guys think of it, and thanks for reading.

Olive oil for sautéing
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/2 bunch parsley, chopped
7 cups white flour, divided
A pinch of salt
1 3/4 cups water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 medium-boiled eggs
Frying oil
Steps
1-In a hot frying pan, sauté the onion, garlic and meat in olive oil until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and add chopped parsley. Set aside.
2-Place 3 cups of flour and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix well. Make a hole in the middle and add water. Mix using hands and add the oil.
3-Slowly add the remaining flour and continue mixing with a wooden spoon.
4-On a surface sprinkled with flour, knead until the dough is elastic and homogeneous, and no longer sticks to the hands.
5-Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until very thin. Cut into 12x4-inch squares. Arrange the filling in the center. Place 1/2 egg in each.
6-Close the dough by brushing the edges with water and pressing with a fork. Deep-fry the pastels in hot oil.
