Sometime ago, my husband and I decided to drive to the town further away from where we stay to a restaurant we love. It is called Ah Heng Food Corner, at Kuala Lumpur,. Malaysia. And since it was rare opportunity, we grabbed more food, to bless two more families friends of ours, as well as we also wanted to support the restaurant's business. We knew food businesses were badly affected during the previous monthsss of lockdown.
Ah Heng Food Corner
The town was so quiet back then. The restaurant was so quiet too. Pandemic has changed how businesses should look like. Anyway, here were the food we ordered.
(Top row) Braised pork belly & pig's stomach with pepper soup
(Middle row) Stir fry lettuce in garlic oil, preserved vegetables with pork belly, curry chicken
(Bottom row) Braised pork intestine & bittergourd with spare ribs
Since we ordered all the above but not just this one whole set, we actually ordered three sets of everything, our order took longer. We waited and we could feel the boss were very happy with such big order. Below was the packets for oir family and two more of this same set. Very, very heavy.
After that, we delivered the food to the other two families we wanted to bless. Once we headed home, our tummies were rumbling hungry. I opened up all the packets to place the food into bowls and plates.
Allow me to show you all the food close-up.
The pork belly was nicely cooked, juicy and soft, pleasant for biting, yums!
Not everyone eats internal, but so happen my husband and I do, this was nicely done too, soft enough, and the pepper soup was so flavourful. Slurp!
Simple Chinese way of stir fry lettuce but very yummy.
This was my favourite and it was enough for all, you would love this if you like preserved vegetables.
A nice kick of curry among all the soya sauce gravy, this was superbly cooked, not the Indian kind of curry, but more towards Chinese style, but super duper delicious and appetising.
My brother saw this and went yucky but for those who love, you would love it!
An addition of bitter taste to complete our dinner, this bittergourd was beautifully cooked with spare ribs, super delicious too.
