Famous Ampang Yong Tao Foo for Father's Day!

After the boys celebrated Father's Day with their father, it was our time to celebrate with our Fathers. I couldn't celebrate with my Father because my parents are in another state, so I sent e-pocketmoney to his bank account, hehe. As for my husband, he decided to pack food to his Father's house to celebrate Father's Day.

Blessed Father's Day, Dad!

We pray that you will have good health and good strength. Thank you for always praying for us and releasing a lot of blessings to us. Both of you look great!

Foong Foong Yong Tao Foo!

My husband specifically asked his dad what he felt like eating. He said he felt like eating Ampang Yong Tao Foo. I recalled when we were all busy with young kids, Dad and Mum would pack for us. Now that our kids are older and our parents had grown older too, it is our turn to buy for them. Let's! My mom-in-law tagged along too.

It was super packed with people because it was public holiday. Nevertheless, everyone was willing to queue and wait. I was waiting too for my 'take-away' queue and spotted few stalls at the restaurant. Mum saw 'bubur cha-cha' and decided to buy two containers as desserts.

The 'take-away' system here was very organised. A special queue for it and once your turn, you just needed to place your order, pay and wait. Then when your food was ready, the helper would pass to you provided you queue at the correct place.

We packed so many because the food would be for 10 pax, and when I got my order, it was so heavy.

Mum and my husband went off to other shop in the vicinity to buy other food while I in charge to wait for the Yong Tao Foo orders.

Back at in-laws home!

What a great teamwork, we managed to buy Dad's favourite food. Mom even got to buy food for his dinner and the food for another day. Wow.

Let's look at the spread of Yong Tao Foo we bought! Weeee!!!

I overbought a little but it was always better to have more food than not enough food, right? Lol...

Here was the dry category, we had brinjal stuffed with fish paste, ladies finger with fish paste, fish balls and fried fish balls and deep fried rolled bean curd with fish paste.

30 fried dumplings because this was all of our favourite!!!

And 25 soup dumpling!!

Fresh stuffed tofu so so good too!!!

Some green vegetables and the dipping sauce a must for Yong Tao Foo.

Baked wrapped chicken

...Which in the end we didn't eat this because we were too full....

The bubur cha-cha

It was so delicious we regretted we only bought two.

I know, I know, a lot of food. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bonding time

We had recently had one addition to the family, precious sweet baby Naomi. It was her first time coming to in-laws place. Great job to the mother getting ready all three kids to come. Grandpa thoroughly had good time carrying her. Look at them looking at each other. Eeee... sweet!

The adults were having such great time catching up and chatting especially the senior Father and the younger fathers in our midst. The children loved hanging up together and grind in their mobile games. And the little one just busy talking and sharing their imagination. Family time is the best!

Thats so sweet of you, sending him pocket money. He'll surely spend it well ✨. So this is another food trip and bonding time. I love how often y'all bond, like, savor every minute with the family and just have fun. It's sweet and surely, this too is memorable with the kids. Especially the foods y'all try and eat 🤤

Yeah, because we don't get to gather often, so when we had the chance, we will treasure it. 💓
