Mini milk pie is a food with a combination of crunchy and soft filling made from milk custard

in Foodies Bee Hive2 months ago

Hello foodies friends, How are u?... today I made milk pie, the children's favorite snack. How to make milk pie is very easy and simple, we only need to make a simple crust with sweet thick custrad and eggs.

In Indonesia, there are many different types of pie that have been developed, including fruit pie, brownie pie and milk pie. This milk pie is very popular in Bali, Indonesia. Usually, many people make this milk pie as a typical souvenir from Bali.

Today I want to show you all how to make it yourself at home.

Leather dough

200 grams of wheat flour
100 grams butter mix margarine (ratio 1:1)
1 egg yolk
30 grams of powdered sugar (I use granulated sugar)

How to make

• Add all the flour ingredients, butter margarine, egg yolks and powdered sugar. (It's better to use powdered sugar so that the skin dough is smoother)

• knead until the dough can be rounded.

• prepare the pie mold. You can use large or small prints. Don't forget to grease the baking pan with margarine before using.

• Print the pie crust dough into the pan. Not too thick but not too thin. Make a hole in the dough using a fork or toothpick

• After all the dough has been molded and pierced with a fork, let it rest in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes.

Custard Ingredients

2 eggs
200 ml full cream liquid milk
50 grams of sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp granulated sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch (if you have it you can use custard flour)

How to make

• Mix all the ingredients for eggs, full cream milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a clean bowl.

• stir using a balloon whisk until mixed and not lumpy.

• strain the mixture using a sieve ( to make the custard mixture softer)

• custard is ready to use.

___ How to make Milk Pie ___

• Take the cold pie crust mixture then pour in the custard (don't fill it too much.) My husband and children helped me when filling the milk pie.

• Milk pie is ready to be baked. Don't forget to preheat the oven before use.

• bake in the oven at 170°C or 338°F for 40 minutes using top and bottom heat. Adjust the oven temperature to your oven because each oven can be different. Tips use low heat so that the pie is smooth because too hot a temperature can cause the pie to bubble and cook unevenly.

• The milk pie is finished. Wait until it cools before removing it from the tin.

Good luck... I hope all my friends are interested in trying it. Thank you to all my friends who always support me...I continue to learn every day so I can share something better and useful for all of us. See you soon, greetings from me to all of you foodie friends.
