In all honesty, I always shy away from cafes offering healthy meals, smoothies, and juices. Why? Because it costs more than your average coffee. Nonetheless, I found myself walking straight into JUICERIA JUICE BAR yesterday after checking each food store and cafe in Bonifacio District. I didn't want to drink coffee at that time because I was having a migraine.
I was supposed to meet an old friend yesterday because I make sure to keep my promises. Once I say I would meet with you, I would find a way to do that - clear my schedule if it's urgent. That's why I ended there despite just recovering from fatigue. I thought perhaps going out from the house would also lighten my mood and freshen my energy.
What captivated me to enter Juiceria was its light and cozy ambiance. Apart from the indoor plants that made the store more appealing to my eyes as well, the lack of customers which would make my stay more peaceful made me reach the door and enter its premises. After confirming the availability of wi-fi, I found myself a spot at the side bench and laid my things on the table to mark my territory.
It took me a while to choose what food to consume. After my initial decision of getting one of their cold-pressed juice named "Stress Less" (obviously the perfect choice) got declined for lack of supply, I ended up getting one of their smoothies called "The Hercules" (I damned need strength right now) for Php 175 or $3.14.Thinking it would take me and my friend to talk (because we had a lot to catch up), I added in a Tropical Acai Bowl which costs Php 215 or $4.3 just to complete my healthy meal set for the night.
While they prepped my food, I got settled in and did some curation work. As much as I wanted to be productive last night, I could only do as much because my body was still regaining some strength and my mind have been cluttered. I could barely focus. My Hercules smoothie came and just a sip of it I could tell Banana, Peanut Butter, and Milk were its major components (I might be wrong though). It was so tasty and refreshing. Yes, it was a different feeling after drinking coffee almost every day.
I asked for my energy bowl to be served a bit late since I was still waiting for my friend to arrive (She works nearby). A couple of customers have already come and gone by but no sign of her. A message came through and she informed me that she was still caught up with work. My rebuttal was "overtime won't make you rich".
I had my Tropical Acai Bowl served after two hours of waiting and working. I thought "what a waste of time" but my energy bowl did the trick to lighten my sour mood. It was so delicious that I was caught surprised after my first dibs on its contents. Granola, Chia Seeds, Banana, Honey and not sure what the base was made but I know it contains Acai ingredients. I won't delve into details but I do know Acai Berries are full of nutrients and benefits. So it was worth it.
15 minutes till closing time, I wrapped up my work and finished my Acai bowl hoping my friend would meet me afterward. I left Juiceria Juice Bar with a boost of energy from its fresh smoothie and healthy meal with parting thoughts of "It's ok for me to treat myself once in a while".
15 minutes afterward, no-show, and no text message either. It would have been nice to receive a text informing me she won't able to make it but I knew she was going through something and I was there in the first place to provide comfort and support. My migraine was back so I decided to leave the area, rode on a habal-habal, and went for a Swedish massage (since I was already out and treating myself to a solo date) before I completely went home and called it a night.

Hi @chinito! I always believe everything we do would for others will come back to us. Law of Karma. So I try to keep my word as much as I could. If not, then I would always let the other person know that I can't make it.
I like Asus but I'm really thinking of upgrading soon for a much faster one.
ASUS.. i can't complain, it was free from my mom.. she actually bought it when visiting PH a few years ago. It's so slow sometimes, but also its nice and light. oh yea, gotta luv the baby powder blue color..

Unfortunately, hangouts place like this concept have closed due to the pandemic in my city.

That is sad but it seems more establishments are trying to open back although a lot really closed down during the pandemic.
I love the setting and the interior designs too. Missing going back to the city hopefully by next year.

Interior designs are really trendy in the community Architecture and designs. You can upload it too there if you have future travel and see those.

Their adlai rice bowls are tasty too. I went there once with my girlfriend and I really love their cozy ambiance. The food matches well with the space. Their smoothie bowls are pretty (but not as pretty as mine hahahhaha). Fruit juices and smoothies are best to consume for someone who needs to recharge!
Urggh.. Might want to invite me for a food tasting to one of those cafes where you make your "pretty" smoothie bowls?! Haha. This is long overdue!
But I so agree, I was feeling a lot better after my visit here.
Soon. Still working for other projects here in the city. Hopefully next year it'll be finally launched!

Looks like a great place for some rejuvenating me-time and a cozy place to work. I'd love to try their adlai bowl and vegetarian bibimbap. I will definitely plan a trip there when I happen to be in the area. Now checking where it is exactly on google maps.
