Satisfy Your Taco Cravings in Boracay Island at MUCHOS!

Are any Taco Lovers here?! Give me a 🙌

I was craving some Tacos that time I visited Boracay Island! To be honest, I didn't have my hopes high if I would find a restaurant that sells such. However, little did I know that my assumptions would be proven wrong by a newfound dance friend from Australia (also a Taco lover) who I went on a mission to hunt for a Taco place.

A 30-minute walk was all worth it as we arrived at our destination - a chic, modern restaurant with a yellow signage titled "MUCHOS". Not only that, the waitresses wearing bright yellow shirts drew our eyes to them... My friend Phil was the one who googled this place before our walk.

The aesthetics of the interior was beautiful but intimidating at first. Probably because I initially thought that the food would be overpriced. However, there was no turning back.

Phil beaming with pride for discovering the place

I love how the colors of the pillows were contrasting with the overall painting. I love that they incorporated chairs and hanging lights made of rattan which added this local touch. There is a bar at the far end where displays of wine bottles can be seen. And once you get seated, you will get this beautiful view of the beach right outside the entrance. Despite this elevated, artistic composition of the decors, the place felt cozy.

Unfortunately, the menu doesn't show any visual representation of their food although I pretty much know what tacos should look like but I got used to to seeing photos of what I might be eating. Just builds up the anticipation.

The choices range from an All-day brunch, skewers & ceviches, mains, sides, & desserts. However, our main reason for coming was because of Tacos!

I ordered the POLLO - chicken tacos (homemade corn tortilla, grilled chicken, crispy onions, mojo verde, chipotle mayo, and cilantro) which costs Php150 or $2.72! Cheaper compared to what I was expecting so I paired it with PATATAS FRITAS - potato and sweet camote chips served with fresh salsa which also was Php150 or $2.72. As for the drinks, I forgot what it was called but it was a refreshing fruit juice perfect to quench my thirst that afternoon which was about $2.

As for my friend, he picked out the Beef and Queso Birria Taco - 3 pcs hard shell tacos stuffed with slow-cooked beef, cheese, and fresh white onions served with a rich beef birria consomme - for Php 420 or $7.63.

We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food to be served. The Patatas Fritas came first which was a great appetizer. The chips themselves tasted light but salty and eating it with the salsa dip created the balance and yet made me want to munch everything all at once! However, we had to slowly eat the chips to kill the time while waiting for the other dishes.

Once my Pollo was served, I didn't think twice but immediately took a munch! The meat was tasty and had a crispy outer layer. The tortilla was soft and have that enough flavor to match that of the meat and sauce. I enjoyed the taste of it especially added with the lemon but... it wasn't enough to fill my hungry tummy at the time! 😂 Well, tacos are light snacks.

Phil was kind enough to let me have a taste of the Beef and Queso Birria Taco, I really couldn't distinguish its unique taste from mine 😅 but its sauce added a deep, rich flavor. I liked that one.

Despite my appreciating the Tacos, Phil wasn't impressed! 😂 He says that they were far from the "authentic" tacos he had in the US. Unfortunately, I don't have that reference point so I didn't care as long as I satisfied my cravings for that day.

Anyways, if you find yourself in Boracay island and want to eat some tacos, just head to Station 1, Ground floor of Zuzuni Hotel. Opens from 10 am - 10pm.

Cool place to hang out. I love how thw rattan lights and chairs give contrast to the modern type of decors. And the food looks good. I am craving.

The rattan lights and chairs just provided this Filipino element to its modern space which does attract more customers to their establishment. Thanks for dropping by!

Waiting for 15-20 minute for what hwe are craving for......
Month will be calling for the other@indayclara

Ganda ng place Claire! Gusto ko yung teal na kulay ng pillows and even the rattan chairs sa kabilang side simple yet elegant.

Mukhang okay naman visually yung nachos and dip so +1 na yan for me. Mukhang may mini bar din sila ah nice parang aside from the nachos pwede ding shumat ng kaunti haha.

Yeah! I was actually surprised to find this chic resto at that side of Boracay. Worth it naman ang init and pawis sa pagpunta doon 😂

I saw some photos, ganda ng ambiance nila pag gabi, bet ko na place for a chill wine session. pero next time na kapag may +1 na din ako.

What a beautiful place! the type of decor is so modern, it's appealing to hang out.

Thank you! I would definitely come back to this place to also try out their other dishes!

I’ve seen taco a couple of times on the internet but I’ve never really been mouth watered as I’m now, lol.

The place also looks cute.

Thank you! If I could, I would visit many Taco stores and find the best one! 😆 What a joy that would be!

looks very delicious, @indayclara!

I like places like this that is very aesthetic but the food are still affordable.

Agree!! The food was definitely of average price compared to other restaurant there in Boracay.

That's so nice! Pero pag adto nako Boracay sauna, dili ra sad ko dakog gasto noon. Dapat lang gyud kugihan mangitag barato.

This place is such an amazing place that one won't want to miss out on

True indeed! However though, I do feel the establishment is located far from where most tourists would gather so they have less exposure. but overall they are a really great restaurant. Beautiful interior, quality customer service, and delicious food!

Wao, with these qualities they carry, it's would be easy for them to attract the minds of people to their restaurant

It is a nice place to spend time with. The ambiance is also inviting. Instagrammable hehehe.

I think the 15-20 minute-wait is a good sign that what they are serving are fresh and made on time. No re-heating of food or how do you call it. Hehehe
