How are you today ? I hope and pray that all of us are always given health and happiness in living this life. My city is currently experiencing a transitional weather situation. During the day, the sun shines very hot and makes us hot. However, the afternoon turned cloudy and there was heavy rain and strong winds. Therefore, we must maintain our health by eating on time or foods that carry endorphins or happiness hormones for us.
A few days ago, I visited one of the new beverage outlets in my city, which was going viral and became the talk of my social media. So, since I'm trying to keep up with this era, I decided to visit the place. The drink outlet is Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, and one of these beverage outlets is located not far from where I live.
Mixue Ice Cream & Tea
Mixue Ice Cream & Tea is a beverage franchise that sells various sweet and cold drinks since 1997 in Henan-China and spread to various countries around Southeast Asia. In Medan City, the city where I live, the mixue started in August 2022 very massively and immediately opened many branches or outlets. The Mixue Ice Cream & Tea outlet has been awaited by the residents of Medan City, therefore, every day people come to this outlet to enjoy sweet and cold drinks that are refreshing and suitable for the hot weather of Medan City.
Mixue Ice Cream & Tea has 5 outlets in my city. I had the opportunity to visit the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea outlet which is located at Captain Muslim Street no. 152 Medan Helvetia District, Medan City. The location of this beverage outlet outlet is very strategic because it is close to schools, campuses, government offices and shopping centers.
One of the things that distinguishes the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea Outlet from other beverage outlets is the dine-in place offered at each outlet. In my city, tea outlets, coffee shops, or boba outlets often only focus on selling take away drinks. In fact, the nature of the people in my city, very happy to gather and chat. Mixue Ice Cream & Tea tries to take that market segment.
The atmosphere of the outlet was very crowded at that time, even though I came to this place around 11 pm. The majority of visitors to this beverage outlet are aged 17-23 years, some students who have finished school also come to this place. This outlet has a design and decoration that is very comfortable for visitors who come, especially the combination and combination of white and red colors is very bright and gives the end a cheerful and colorful impression.
Order System
At Mixue Ice Cream & Tea Outlet, we order first at the cashier counter. Then we pay, and our order will be called according to the queue number and also the type of drink we ordered. Mixue also accepts cash, e-money, and credit card payments. When I visited this outlet, there were lots of discount promos for payments by e-money. This payment system with digital money is very practical, we only need to scan the Qris barcode and then our money will be deducted automatically.
The menu options are displayed on the cash register. We can choose from a wide selection of ice cream and tea drinks menus here. There are three menu categories to choose from: fresh ice cream, fruit tea and tea's. I asked the waiter for a recommendation from the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea favorite menu. I was given a menu recommendation, namely Boba Sundae to try. I ordered the menu, and another one I ordered Iced Lemon Gray Tea to take home.
Drinks menu prices from Mixue are very cheap and affordable, for many people as well as students. Boba Sunde price is only IDR 16K (1.05 USD) and for Iced Lemon Gray Tea I only paid around IDR 12K (0.75 USD). The combination of a comfortable place and cheap drink prices can be ascertained for two reasons, why many customers come here. How does it taste?
About Taste
I didn't wait too long for my order, it only took about 5-7 minutes until my queue was called by the waiter. Boba Sundae is a soft vanilla Ice Cream added with a sweet boba topping. I can say Boba Sundae is a very deadly combination of sugar, if you are diabetic you should avoid this drink.
The texture of the ice cream from Boba Sundae Mixue is very soft, because it uses soft ice cream which is very easy to melt. The combination of soft boba makes my wife not stop tasting this delicious ice cream. I tasted a few spoonfuls of this drink, I liked the constant texture of the boba not too mushy and not too hard. Moreover, the combination of palm sugar, boba, and soft vanilla ice cream creates a unique and refreshing taste creation.
My drink order, Iced Lemon Gray Tea has a taste I like. Sour, sweet and refreshing taste. This Iced Lemon Tea uses fresh lemons instead of using lemon powder drinks so that the lemon taste is really original and refreshing. It seems, I will often come back to Mixue to buy Iced Lemon Gray Tea.
