Hello everyone, welcome.
It's so nice to be able to live in the fresh air today. It was a pretty sunny Sunday and it seemed like the sun was taking revenge because this week the rain seemed to keep falling and the sun had to give in for a little longer. I even reduced the intensity of jogging in the morning because it was raining and it would harm my body. But, luckily there are some classes on YouTube that I can do on the mat and that helps me to exercise.

As someone who is starting to pay attention to health, because I am quite old and there are several joints and bones that always hurt when sitting for a long time at work. So, paying attention to health, especially food and exercise, must become a good habit. For 34 years, I have realized that the body needs to be looked after.

Because I exercise regularly, I also consistently eat foods high in protein, even though sometimes the carbohydrates I eat exceed my capacity, but I have started to increase protein first. So, even though I'm on quite a long vacation, I look for foods that are high in protein first for breakfast and lunch.

Yogyakarta Cullinary - Satai Klatak Pak Pong'

I remember, when I traveled to Yogyakarta yesterday, I knew one thing for sure that they have special foods that are high in protein. There are many types, one of which is Sate Klatak. It sounds so delicious even just saying the name.

Sate Klatak, not just any name but has its own philosophy. Taken from the word 'Klatak' which means roasted in the open kitchen. Sate Klatak is famous because it is made from simple ingredients and very simple spices. But, the taste is amazing and the simple spices really penetrate. This is due to the unique roasting place as photographed below.

Klatak satay is simply marinated with salt and pepper, then coated with quite soft spices. Unlike Padang satay which is boiled first, klatak satay is actually grilled directly without any other treatment other than marinating with salt and pepper. The sweet, savory and spicy taste is only touched when it is roasted, obtained from the taste of the goat itself, taken from fresh and clean meat.

Klatak Sate is made from goat meat, that's why this satay is different from the typical Acehnese Matang Sate. If Matang satay is beef or buffalo, Klatak satay is the opposite, of course the tastiest Klatak satay is 'Sate Klatak Pak Pong'. I was really lucky to be able to go to this place and experience the authentic taste of the famous klatak satay in the city of Yogyakarta.

This klatak satay is served very simply, without rice or lontong or other carbohydrates. Apart from a little sauce made from goat soup and also pieces of very red tomatoes as carbohydrates. Of course with a glass of 'tea tong' which is the most delicious drink I know. This tea keg is only made from black tea, but this tea is really very fragrant, like a mixture of black tea and jasmine tea. Brewed with hot water and given lots of ice cubes. It's even more delicious when eaten with this super juicy klatak satay.

That's the story of today's food which I got very well, even though I had to ride a motorbike quite far from the city, but 'Sate Klatak Pak Pong' was second to none!
