You know, whenever I craft something I always give some thought as to how I would modify it for my ahem, friends, who can't eat dairy. The only thing you would need to sub out in this recipe was the milk/cream, and I would melt a bit of Earth Balance Butter Stick and whisk it in to some unsweetened almond milk for the dairy part. I think it would work. Might need a bit of xanthan gum, arrowroot, cornstarch, or gluccie to thicken it up, but if you were using mashed taters on the top the starch from them would do the trick me thinks.
