Happy Monday, dear Hivers! Last week, my friends and i stayed a little too late in the office to finish our tasks and decided to grab ourselves some dinner. One of us suggested Balai Cafe. I've been hearing this restaurant often since its just walking distance from our office but I haven't been to the place. Since majority of us haven't tried their food, we decided to have our dinner there.
At first, the place looked like a hidden building with minimal signage on it. It's amazing how the cafe garnered popularity despite not being so seen when passing the streets. they're food must've been so good that they're made known by people.
This cafe offers a variety of meals and drinks, from coffee and breakfast, brunch meals, desserts, and late night wine, they sure got everything. Its perfect for all occasions too. I see families gathered for dinner, couples on dates, and of course friends having dinner after a long office day (a.k.a us)
For our dinner, we ordered half roasted chicken, alfredo pasta, and their shawarma rice. Although I find the waiting time quite long, as we waited for about 30 minutes for our order. But once dinner was served, it was all worth the wait.
I must say, they're food is really delicious. Rarely do i comprehend a restaurant thats both aesthetically pleasing and appetizing. And this restaurant is one of them. Their sauces are uniquely rich, one can really be sure that its not just from some artificial MSG seasoning. Their shawarma rice is the most remarkable, in my opinion.

To say the least, I enjoyed both my company and the dinner. I hope to bring my family and special someone in this restaurant next time.
