Samgyupsal cravings in the middle of the week

Happy Thursday, my fellow foodies! My friends and I were planning to have dinner at a samgyupsal place, about a week ago. To savor the moment, I intentionally ate less meat in the course of the week so I could eat more during this dinner. Haha. Do you practice this too? Making yourself hungry so you could eat more at an unlimited restaurant and get your money's worth.

We went to Donjjang Korean BBQ, located at IT Park, Cebu. Thankfully there was no queue time since it's a weekday. They have pork, beef, and special meat categories. We chose the beef package for dinner.

Their side dishes are tasty, especially the kimchi. Some of their side dishes, like melted cheese, spring rolls, and rice are not served on the spot. You have to request it from the staff. Good thing we had a photo of all their menu from their website.

For our first plate order, the staff served us equal portions of beef and pork. The pork was quite thick and hard to chew so for the next round of additional plate orders, we told the staff not to serve pork anymore, and instead fill the plate with just beef. It's an unlimited restaurant, anyway.

The reason why we gathered here tonight is because one of my colleagues is going to Makati for a few months to prepare for the board exam while also working in our Makati office.

I wonder how it feels like working somewhere far from my hometown. I've always want to live independently but in the circumstance that I'm in, I think it would take a while for me to get there. All the best to my colleague as she venture into a new endeavor.

After dinner I went back to the office, just a few meters away from our dinner place, and finished my work. Today was an exhausting but fulfilling day, I guess.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light
