What's for dinner | Chicken & Biryani

Happy Friday, dear Hivers! Is it just us, or chicken, may it be fried, sauteed, in soup, or in Biryani rice, is now people's go-to meal? There's this new chicken restaurant in Cebu that sells whole roasted chicken in Biryani rice. It's called "Why Chicken"- the name itself is quite unique but I still don't know why they chose that name not do I know if this recipe originated in India. I remember during their first few weeks of opening, alot of influencers raved about this chicken. But we haven't gotten the chance to order because the queue line is long. Now that the fuss has toned down, we finally ordered their chicken.

The Biryani rice taste similar to normal white rice, only that it's lengthy and slim.

We also ordered another chicken from 24 Chicken, located just beside Why Chicken. This one has fresh garlic minced, so we only order this for takeout and opt to eat at home.

Looks like the battle of the best chicken are tight in their area, one is to one. In our family, our vote for the best chicken were divided. Some liked the Why chicken while others preferred the original 24 Chicken. I enjoyed a mix of both chicken. But I wish to eat other varieties of dish too.

Lately, our food choices has been narrowed down to chicken, fried meat, spam, and corned beef. I'm still trying to search for other recipes aside from the obvious and most common -meat. Like I mentioned in my previous videos, I'd like to get back to fermenting foods again (i.e kimchi and yogurt) for additional menu in our meals.

What's your favorite dish? Would love to know in the comment section below.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

With love,
Jane
